What do you think of .so domain TLD

I'm trying to find an available domain with our product name. most are taken but .so is available how do you feel about .so domains? it's a developer related product (IAM)

No bad feelings about .so; We got the .io for Infracost, and it's been working well for Dev tools :) The issue is sometimes people forget the domain, so they have to search for the product name, and then they find it

The days when domain endings (particularly .com) were important is over. Today, it is simply vanity (eg .ai) Most potential users will find you through search or by clicking on a link in an email or a social media post So, go for .so!!!

I would be careful Hadi. .so is the TLD from Somalia and that's a sanctioned country.

will be hard for SEO as it will be targeting more people who are in Somalia, it won't be treated as a generic TLD. There's a list of ccTLD's (I.e. .co, .gg, .io) that are treated as generic and i don't know if .so is on that list. i know this because i was doing some research when I was buying a .ng domain to use as a short link, which SEO didn't really matter for my situation. wish i had the link to article where i read it at, cant find it with a quick glance of history. but heres an updated list https://www.seroundtable.com/goo...
