What is something small that has a huge effect on your productivity?

Hey, all! Hope you are having a lovely (and productive) week😉 What is something small that boosts your productivity? For me, it must be the sun coming from my window, coffee, or a good night of rest. I also value music and random breaks throughout the day in which I do something different (e.g pilates, a german lesson, reading, etc) What about you?

Keeping water at my desk and consistently staying hydrated.

@nikkielizdemere Hi) It is very interesting point but for me aside from keeping water at the desk very important to track my daily water intake. I am curious how many people do it)

Setting a weekly goals on a home screen of my phone. I just choose 3 most important tasks for a week, and put it in Google To-Do widget. So, i see the tasks everytime I unlock my phone. It may sound strange, but it really works for me :) It gives me focus during the week, and i'm not falling into trap of doing something (seemingly) urgent, but not exactly important. And in the end of the week i get the feeling of gratification, because i know i did something really important, not just random staff Plus, reminding myself that any task is not just a task. For accomplishing task you get a reward (money) :))) This also helped me a lot

@ilya_uglianitsa Hmmm, nice point about seeing the tasks all time. Thx for advise )

Personally for me successfully conducted daily meeting makes my day and bring new energy for entire day) Nice prepared coffee also is number one in my morning list. What do you think about morning skin care and hair routine? Do it affect on your productivity?
Katerina Gerasimovich
@xander_off morning skin care as a part of morning routine gives me inspiration for the whole day 💫

Working in a small cave-like office at The Yard. I have terrible ADD and this keeps me hyper focused. No distractions at all!

Linking what I do to the bigger outcome. It's a mindset game. Once I get the two connected it's like a switch. My focus, energy, and mood change 180 degrees.

Changing where I work, not for a different company but going to work in a different place or a different room in the house. People have often said that a change is as good as a rest.
Martina Hackbartt
@andrew_isherwood1 I absolutely agree! When (once in a while) I work at a coworking space or café, I feel like my focus improves by a lot! Thanks for sharing :)

It seems that I will not reinvent the America, nevertheless, for me these were: 1. good quality and quantity of sleep. 2. daily exercise. 3. Implementing (somewhat forcefully) work-life balance.
Martina Hackbartt
@pawelszafa How do you implement work-life balance?

For me, it's going full screen - getting rid of tabs and menu bars does wonders for work.

A mix of what people mentioned: water :), bike, art-related hobby, short breaks, physical whiteboard, waking up early to make some extra things in the morning (not only prepare to work).

A physical white board. It completely changed how often I kept doing my chosen habits to develop. I just hate seeing an empty space on any day on my handmade calendar on it.

You would not believe it, just a cup of this coffee https://coffeehustle.org/best-lo... and my day takes on a completely different color. The results of the experiment are consistent with what scientists say about the effects of coffee on productivity. Caffeine has been shown to provide short-term cognitive improvement after ingestion. It was found that 200 mg of coffee helped you identify words and phrases faster.
