ChatGPT was launched as a prototype on November 30, 2022, and quickly garnered attention for its detailed responses and articulate answers across many domains of knowledge.
At some point, it will turn into a paid tool. And if they do not have it already, OpenAI will offer APIs that various businesses can integrate for their own products. For example, you can have a WordPress plugin that does the blogging for you. Or, an insurance website could integrate this into their search form for people having various kinds of questions related to a product.
A few years ago, NLP technology was not accurate nor scalable but we've come a long way since with technologies like OpenAI. Today, we're betting that AI will be sufficiently cheap and accurate enough to be productized in the near future.
What are your thoughts? @delaney_brown
- building something fun (https://www.producthunt.com/prod...) with a buddy of mine @zenghoulim to latch on these advanceements
@delaney_brown@hubert_chan1 I think we're likely going to see a shift in the way people do their work but AI is not going to completely take away the jobs. For instance, we've seen how ChatGPT has the ability to write code but it isn't perfect. There's going to be instances where we need a human's critical thinking to come into play and make a judgement call. In short, AI does the heavy lifting so humans can do what we're best at - thinking and applying technology.
It will likely become paid with an API. Once this happens, we'll see more apps pop up that use ChatGPT under the hood.
We've already seen a surge or AI writing apps, so get ready for even more!
This AI can already answer many questions and help solve some problems. If it is still somehow learnable, it will come in handy for a lot of things in the future
You will find many new tools pop up in 2023 that leverage Chat GPT API like this tool we are building https://www.stunning.so/, anyone can build a website with no code in 30 seconds including copy & images.
It's clearly a game-changer for traditional search engines, chatbots, etc. We might see ChatGPT or (upcoming)GPT-4 as a base ai which can be used by startups for their products for enhanced UX.
We would see specialised AIs based on particular industries (like healthcare, fintech, etc.) with ChatGPT at its base.
I think in the coming year we'll see the discussion unfolding in terms of what could be done to tell AI-generated texts from human writing.
It's already a hot topic and you can read about the very first attempts here:
https://techcrunch.com/2022/12/1...
TLDR: Proposed solution: insert a pattern in the generated texts that can be caught with a certain 'key' (text watermark essentially).
Limitations: (a) can be tempered with (b) only works if accepted as an industry standard.
Maybe it can be integrated into voice assistance like Siri to help with more complex tasks (booking tickets, summarizing and reading emails/notifications, even for answering coding questions) I think the future for a chat AI is to better assist everyone.
A huge support for people who wants to start something of their own and are great at creating products but weak at marketing and sales. Chatgpt is such a big support when it comes to understanding different channels of distribution , product description, marketing strategies. With upcoming AI based micro SaaS tweeting, replying to mails, socially marketing your product everything will be very easy
lots of new apps built on chatGPT will come out in the coming year. to help those developers, we’ve built a tool to build integrated ChatGPT apps with no code. https://www.producthunt.com/post...
We will see a lot of impact of Large Language Models in every aspect of our work. Chat GPT is a precursor to field that is just opening up and likely to change everything from SEO, E-Commerce and Content marketing. On the product side there will be implications and opportunities for new kinds of interactions powered by generative AI.
ChatGPT will be allowed to ingest Reddit, Stack Overflow, Tik Tok, Discord, Slack, Substack etc
ChatGPT was trained on the collective writing of humans across the world, past and present. This means that the same biases that exist in the data, can also appear in the model. In the future efforts will probably be made to remove these biases.
ChatGPT is a mind-opening tool! Helping in the development of ideas - how you can vision your-future-self, completing sentences when you lack inspiration, finding ideas for recipes for people with intolerances who are tired of eating the same thing over and over again ... It's a never-ending wheel of fortune without a bottom and a clear answer to questions. I know what I am saying, I checked and the above are the result of my own life experiences. Like a helping hand when a person loses strength and does not know how to pull something further.
A new world of knowledge is opening up before us, which (I think) will be used daily as a storage of information
The future with ChatGPT and other language models holds both bright opportunities and potential threats, and it's up to us to determine which path we take. Will we use these new opportunities to create a prosperous society, or will we fall prey to cognitive slavery?
