@derstartupcfo I'm really curious to see how this is going to shake out for existing companies that already have large teams in place and suddenly find that they have 2x the capacity they used to. Will they suddenly become 2x as productive, or will they lay off 1/2 of their staff...?

AI can definitely give answers to specific questions way better than any one human can do. So it will surely improve processes while developing a product
Rapid prototyping will get a lot more rapid.
AI can generate ideas, but not pick the right one.
AI can write code, but not a full production-ready app (yet).
But at the early stage where you're experimenting with ideas and apps/features don't need to perfect, it's a massive boost.

It can be used for organizing product ideas and testing their viability with focus groups, further narrowing down ideas and feature sets.
My real experience. In the development of my small personal project. related to reddit, AI viewed hundreds of thousands of images in different subreddits and classified/filtered the subreddits for me. If it was done by a human, it would probably cost me a lot of money lol. AI was able to filter and successfully mark up 5,000~subreddits out of 20,000~ But this is the only time it AI worked for me, AI will be a good auxiliary tool
AI is growing at a faster rate than we can even perceive. Every time I check, there's a new tool or feature with AI that can help with product development. Whether it's with market research, automating tedious tasks, content writing, comparing similar products and competitors... There's an AI for everything!
AI is great for ideation and to discuss / bounce off ideas with. Then, obviously it helps with the code and marketing efforts!
A small story:
Smart Manufacturing Inc.'s 10th moulding machine Sam was facing certain issues. Sam called Anna, an AI customer support assistant of Sam's manufacturer. They had a quick discussion to find out the issue. There was some issue with the injection unit which needed replacement. Sam has placed the order with Anna which should be delivered by the next Friday!
