@roshnet understanding your target market - understanding as much as you can about your buying flow / sequence that consumers typically go through to purchase your product - if you are Sales led - are these ads translating into sales AND leads - if you are in a PLG model - are they translating to sales directly.... it just depends on what things look like our your side.
The main point of advice is don't be afraid of switching your promotion strategy if its not working. No use kicking a dead horse. Address what the problems were with the micro campaigns that you run and decide what worked - what didn't work an keep it moving.
