1h bike ride or walk with music I enjoy. Best if you could do it in nature. This is my daily detox. But if you want something quick, try the 4-7-8 technique. - Inhale for 4 sec - Hold breath for 7 sec - Exhale for 8 sec - Repeat this 4-5 times It slows your breathing and heartbeat down and reduces anxiety, also helps you fall asleep faster. Note that you have to practice this for a few days to start to see real benefits.

@luka_vasic I like this one. I think there are various possibilities for a quick breathing technique break. But this one is good :)
Santa
@luka_vasic I totally get that. Cycling and nature and music... Sounds sooo good. I haven`t done this in a while. Thanks for bringing it up.
Vishal Godhwani from Brew Money
I have realized cooking is something that helps me unwind.
Santa
@vishal_godhwani Thanks for asking :) I forgot to answer my own question. Anything with music, water and self expression really. I really need to get in touch with my emotions ( cause of stress) to move them through the body and then sooth them. It can be swiming, dancing, singing, talking things out with someone, creating art etc.

Short mediation always nice:)
Santa
@ofirenglin Do you use it when stressed or as a preventative? Also is it better when starting a day or ending or mixture of both?

Focus on breathing & listening concentrate on the healing frequency music
Santa
@pankti_shah_910 Any suggestions on healing music? Do you listen to certain frequencies, instruments, or what works best for you?
Pankti Shah
@santalo 528Hz frequency music & there is one mobile application called Insight Timer which have amazing meditation music
Santa
@pankti_shah_910 I sometimes listen to them on youtube. Thanks for the suggestion :)

Exercise. Nothing else compares for me.
Santa
@brenna_donoghue Anything in particular?
Baishali Chhabra
Small walk and listening soft music.
Santa
@baishali_gulati Yeah ๐ŸฅฐI did this last night when I took my new dog for a walk, or should I say, he took me for a walk... ๐Ÿ˜ŠIt was incredible. September night sky, autumn vibes with leaves all over the ground. So soothing. ๐Ÿ˜‡

Communication: with a psychologist, colleagues, friends.
Santa
@tetiana_nikolaieva Makes sense. Although, I sometimes struggle with dumping my problems on others. But I have found that articulating my own thoughts and feelings to external source, help me understand them better myself.

Sport (or in general to get my body in motion), meditation, fresh air, and a good sleep

Mountains getaway, painting (acrylic and watercolours), some breathing, exercise, paper or digital journaling . By the way, launched mood reporting app for ios recently with breathing and journaling https://www.producthunt.com/post... It is designed to be helpful in anxiety and depression reduction. If you find time to test it and leave a review - would be just great ! -)
Santa
@julia_kazlova Thanks! Sounds interesting. I will check it out.

It's usually one of the three things for me: 1. Hitting the gym 2. Buy new sneakers 3. Long drives with nice music and a strong cup of cardamom tea :)
Santa
@imadbadri I can relate, with few minor modifications ๐Ÿ˜Ž
Play a sport. Badminton is working out for me.
Santa
@palam_s Badminton used to be one of my childhood top summer activities ๐ŸŒž Aww... nostalgia.

There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question, as the best way to reduce stress and anxiety depends on your individual situation. However, some popular methods of self-care that can help include mindfulness meditation, deep breathing exercises, journaling about your feelings and experiences, yoga or stretching regimes, calming music listening sessions, nature walks or hikes in peaceful surroundings.
Santa
@shreyanshi_gupta1 What about YOU specifically? What do you turn to when stressed?
Hugh Lagrotteria
For me it's definitely exercise and just getting outside. Picked up running during quarantine as a way to get myself out in the sun โ€” such an energy and mood booster. Sitting inside at a desk all day is a recipe for a bunch of unnecessary stress and anxiety! ๐Ÿ™…๐Ÿปโ€โ™‚๏ธ
Santa
@hugh_lagrotteria Thanks for your input, I couldn`t agree more.

Anxiety is a symptom, a signal that there are elements of your life and mindset that make you feel bad. Just as a fever signals that you have an infection going on, anxiety signals that there is something in your life that is harming you and that you cannot think openly about. With introspection and self-analysis, you can discover a lot about yourself (and in confrontation with a clinician, this speeds up, of course). If you understand what the real reason that causes you that disorder is, the anxiety will disappear. Work on yourself and your mental strength to understand the underlying conflicts in consciousness and restructure your life healthily and peacefully. Self-awareness in this is your fundamental tool. Self-care can be very useful in coping with stress, too. To manage stress, you need to learn how to manage emotions. The purpose of emotion-focused coping mechanisms is to modify your emotional activation thanks to some strategies that aim to lower the negative emotional impact of an external event. We developed Sblam (https://www.sblam.life) because we believe that self-help should be a daily "task" for everybody.

Go Rock Climbing or play squash. Rock climbing keeps you focussed in the moment by it's very nature. Squash also keeps you in the moment because of its fast pace and necessary focus on the angles.
