If chatGPT goes down by definition their API should go down as well which makes this kind of prducts (myGPT) not work... @m_dolr The API has a much better uptime than the web interface and didn't go down in the outage yesterday. The products that you have mentioned are decent replacement as well but not at the level yet of ChatGPT.

I resorted to using the "new" Bing. It worked even when ChatGPT didn't. I *think* they use the same underlying tech and data...it worked, in a pinch.

There is a ChatGPT alternative. You can use Hypertype, currently work in emails but you can write an email with the question and we can generate a reply with your own information.

Great question! While it's rare for ChatGPT to go down, it's always a good idea to have a backup plan in case of any technical difficulties. One solution is to have a secondary chatbot that can seamlessly take over if ChatGPT experiences any downtime. This is precisely what I've done with my WhatsApp chatbot, which is powered by ChatGPT but also has built-in fallback capabilities. So even if ChatGPT goes down temporarily, my chatbot can still provide excellent customer support without any disruption because it's powered by the API that's independent of the web interface.
