What turned out to be the most unexpected source of traffic for your startup?

Was reading about how a startup blew up unexpectedly overnight and the team had no clue how, until they discovered a TikTok in another language directing the traffic. Did you had any such experience XD Do share

Reddit for me. It is the last bastion of real discussion left on the Internet and I have had a lot of traffic and clients come from Reddit. This was a surprise to me as I was thinking other social media would pull a lot better than Reddit.

@captaintime how are you using Reddit as a marketing platform?

@_aneeshgupta_ Here is an article and video I put together showing how I use Reddit for marketing. https://captaintime.com/library/...

One of my most recent startups is with selling a physical product. Maybe it's not that unexpected, but I sell WAY more on Amazon than I do on my website and one other channel. Granted, I haven't spent much time marketing since I first launched. But people are there to buy, and their algorithms and recommendations help people find your product.

Yes, we had a similar unexpected source of traffic for our startup Purrfect AI. We were puzzled about a sudden surge in traffic and couldn't pinpoint the source until we discovered a viral post on a niche forum discussing our product. It was a delightful surprise btw.
