David Goggins is the hardest man alive.
He's literally the definition of Toughness.
I have consumed 100+ hours of his content.
These 5 lessons have served me well for the past 4 months:
It will fix your life too:
1/ Mindset is everything
David likes to talk about the mind as the most powerful tool ever.
It is the only thing we have 24/7!
The mind knows your
- fear
- wants
- frustrations
- pains
Take control of the mind and see the lens of your life change!
2/ The Governor
David talks about the 40% rule.
Our mind usually gives up when we're only 40% done.
Just like how a governor keeps the car from running at its full potential.
Learn how to tap into the other 60%!
You'll truly know the value of your potential
3/ Comfort zone
David seeks challenges and he loves doing uncomfortable things.
He teaches it in his book 'Can't Hurt Me' too!
'Do one thing every day that scares you'
It will train your mind and failures and 'embracing the suck'
This is the skill I'm trying to develop
4/ The Dog Mentality
The difference between the top 1% and 0.01% comes down to hunger.
When your mind is yelling at you to quit, you have to answer these questions:
Why am I doing this?
Why ain't I giving up
I could be on the couch right now...
You will know your true motivations when you answer these questions.
Over and over and over again.
People who have the dog mentality achieve longevity like no other!
5/ Your problems are little
How many times have you thought that your problems are the worst in the world?
Wait till you hear about other people's problems
Someone:
- who is trying to put food on the table
- who is fighting stage 2 cancer
- who is gasping for air
There are at least thousands of people who have worse problems than you.
So stop complaining and start solving your problems.
You have nobody by your side but you!
These are the 5 valuable lessons that have served me well in the past 4 months:
1/ Mindset is everything
2/ The Governor
3/ Comfort zone
4/ The Dog Mentality
5/ Your problems are little
That's a wrap!
