This poll made me think for a moment about what would be a good feature to incorporate into PH. While not an ideal bookmarking experience there exists an option for it already, and that is to use your browser. For finer bookmarks, one could use the share option on a comment, copy the link, and bookmark that. The finer option doesn't work in the iOS app though - not sure about the Android version, there you'd have to share the entire discussion in a note or something similar. Photos in discussions, as I just found out reading the comments below already work on the platform. As for links in the bio, I'm not sold on the idea. While it would be convenient, I cannot think of a reason apart from convenience as to why it would be a good feature. Chat instinctively feels like a feature that, for better or worse, could work on PH. It could be detrimental if all it would be used for is to spam users for upvotes. Depending on how a chat was incorporated I can see the good outweighing the bad. For that reason, I'm reluctantly voting for chat.

@busmark_w_nika Interesting. Didn't know PH had chat before. Wonder why they decided to remove it. If it was due to spam, or maybe a technical reason.
@busmark_w_nika @thinkverse Ryan the founder of PH once stated that PH had DM, but i was removed due to vote request spam

I think you can use images in discussions now: You just need use image tag but upload your image somewhere.

Nice poll discussion Nika!! Difficult to choose one. ;)

@busmark_w_nika I chose one of course! :D Actually, a few features are currently being tested. Once they pass the tests successfully, we can launch.

Chat for sure. There's a lot of people coming to Linkedin just to chat and we could just do it over here
Pedro Fonseca
@busmark_w_nika hmm maybe, that's a fair point. At least give us the option and we as user decide if we want to have it activated for example. Or maybe a "Ask to start a conversation" button and only if accepted you could send messages.
Paulius
Definitely chat :)

I think Photos can be added to discussions using HTML. However, the ability to upload photos natively would be easier. :)

It would be convenient to have a search to find people.

I've voted chat, but i'm conflicted. Although i'd love to directly communicate with people on here, i'd be worried it would start looking too much like Linkedin

Chat would be pretty cool actually.

@busmark_w_nika very few because I have very few followers haha however I have connected with a couple of people from PH and would message them on LI first before thinking to come here.

Bookmark seems a great to feature to remark some comments

I think chat is the best option!

A chat feature would be the best option, although I'm not sure it wouldn't turn into a constant stream of requests for upvotes from everyone to everyone and especially for hunters with a large following 😅 Bookmarks also sound nice; sometimes, people share cool tips here, but I always forget to bookmark them in the browser.

Chat would be crazy! Super fun maybe, but I'm going with bookmarks (:

I liked the most for Product Hunt is its now the place to discover the“next big things” in tech. Every day, it curates a list of the top products and startups that people haven't heard of yet and lets a widening yet select group of members upvote, comment and discuss.
Max Avery
photos would be cool

Honestly, all these features sound awesome (minus the chat for me). Bookmarking would be a lifesaver, and clickable bio links are so handy. Photos in discussions would definitely spice things up!
Milli Sen
Bookmarks for me.
Asmitha Rathis
I was conflicted between chat and bookmarks, my worry about chat is the amount of spam it could potentially generate. Bookmarks seem useful, sometimes I just want to go back to a conversation because there was some useful advice in there but I have difficulty finding the conversation.

A picture is worth a thousand words!!
