Which website building tool everyone thinks is better?

They're quite different and great for their intended use cases so I can't choose between them. I'd also suggest Unicorn Platform by @johnrushx for landing pages

Visual web site builders always add complications and eventually you'll end up needing to write custom code on top. I prefer to start from the least technologically complicated setup, HTML and CSS, and take it from there.

as someone who has worked on next.js, wordpress and vanilla js. I think framer is cool. I am yet to try webflow btw.

It depends on what you are building - PagePalooza is one of the nice ones that you don't need to watch hours of tutorials to be able to use.
