I’m working on an idea that has nothing to do with AI and it’s making me second guess myself frequently. Anyone else?

Me! I'm not even working on an app. I have created a patent-pending ultimate dog bed with 14 features, that's generating buzz and about to be tested and reviewed by the New York Times. Please support our upcoming launch here!: producthunt.com/products/ruffrest-ultimate-dog-bed

@chitterz ‘Wuff, Wuff!’ Any pictures of said bed? I’m in the market for a ‘second’ home for the Sheep Dog! GL!

@c_m15 I'm offering a 20% discount here, the only time I'll do such a thing -- usually the most I'll give is 10%. If you upvote me on The Grommet, you'll get the 20% coupon: https://thegrommet.com/product/p...

Working on Hardcover, where you can track your reading and see other people's libraries. As long as you've got a valid problem you're solving, don't sweat it.

The project that we’re working on is not related to AI but I see opportunities for it’s usage in future. But it’s more of a ML related.

Me! Some projects not related to AI: - An SEO tool - A tool directory built for those who #BuildInPublic - A newsletter about business ideas

95%-99% of the new “AI” companies are not going to be around in 3 years. Unless you have a specific expertise in AI or and specific problem that requires an AI solution I would pass for now :)
Drew "Sales Playbook Builder" Williams
I don't think the product has to be AI, but there's no doubt in my mind that it needs to have some sort of AI supporting the solution.

Our project does not use AI, but we plan to include it in the future. This will be useful and AI can greatly expand our capabilities.

I'm working on a SaaS that isn't directly related to AI, but nowadays there's always a way for AI to be integrated to make your life a lot more easier and better!

I am! Our team creates a subscription management billing platform for companies that work worldwide and need to support several gateways.

I wouldn't shift your project goals because its not centered around AI. As your project matures and finds a fit in the market you will see opportunities that can be made into AI features. Most importantly though is to build something that solves a problem. Best of luck on your journey!

I'm not working on an AI product either. I feel left out too haha, they all look like great concepts though. Mines is providing a service, automotive industry. Check it out! https://www.producthunt.com/prod...

Yes. I’m working on something analogous to be delivered digitally… hold on, something seems a bit off with this concept! But, I feel, once the novelty/FOMO has worn off, people will actually ‘look’ for stuff ‘without AI’. Almost: no AI is the new AI. Look at Vinyl as one small and narrowly specific example. There’s still a vast array of stuff in life & work that is better ‘au natural’. The authenticity to start! I’m a fan of AI in the right places. I know it’s going to be more wide spread as the years go by, but I don’t think there’s anything wrong with enjoying analog (slang for non-AI) whilst it lasts.

It depends.. What is your industry? You can start without AI and integrate it later on. For example, we created an educational app without AI called Tutorela, but we will use AI in the future. It is more important that your app/website will give a lot of value to your users :)

2019: "We are unique because we use AI as a part of our services" 2023: "We are unique because we don't use AI/ChatGPT as a part of our services" Just 4 years but such a big difference:)

I just started working on a newsletter that has nothing to do with AI. You dont have to ride the AI wave.

Hah! We're just pivoting from an AI product (although it was more of a classic ML) to a non-AI one, just because it solves a bigger problem. The cliche of "focus on the problem, not a solution" really applies hre. No one besides mediocore investors and novelty users that will churn quickly either way cares about whether you're using AI or not.

So many AI-powered apps out there! They're all so cool but I definitely noticed most of them have some sort of overlap. I am currently working on a project which has NOTHING to do with artificial intelligence. There was/is/will be a market for that type of product, now and always. Good luck!
Daniel Zaitzow
Surprisingly not - I feel like we may need to add AI capabilities in the future but as it stands (beyond some coding and copy AI) our product will be built for humans to do most of the work themselves - novel concept these days haha.

I'm working on a tool for knowledge management and sharing. Not related to AI but can be integrated later.
