Hi 👋,
I'm launching my new remote work website community this upcoming week for job seekers, employers, and remote work noobs. And the first time I'll be submitting a project to PH as well.
I have a splash page for email sign-up currently (over 1k email subs created these last 3 months).

Don't mind the ugliness when you go to the website. Our actual live site, job board, and content/resources in staging are looking crispy. I'm eager to push to live button haha

And some advice would be:
~ Have a way for people to sign up for email on day one, even if it's a simple splash page
~ Engage on social media conversations via LinkedIn and Twitter (Not full self-promotion, but part of discussions related to your industry)
~ Run a launch contest that is targeted to your desired audience
~ Engage in Reddit communities
The one thing I'd do differently is offer a free resource with the email sign-up but I didn't think ahead there and then didn't have time with everything else to build. But can be another enticing way to start building an email list (:
