It will help experts be more efficient

@olearningcurve In addition, they might become smarter and more creative depending on the use. People will learn the skill faster too, leading to more "experts".

@carlbrenner That's so true! I can already see how my learning capabilities skyrocketed since the introduction of ChatGPT

It will greatly increase efficiency but will probably not eliminate yet the need for this skill. Besides most efficient systems nowadays are centaur systems (human and AI collaboration) combining human insight with the vast knowledge and speed of AI

I don;t think so

It probably will. Let's see how far the capabilities of modern AI will spread in the next five years. It will be a loooong time.

Things will change, but if anything, your own content suddenly becomes more valuable as you can now use it with AI to build chatbots for your audience on your content, analyze it to find deeper insights, and brainstorm with it to better repurpose and expand it.

I don't think so. The way we do SEO may be different, but I think the human touch element is still necessary. We get similar questions in UX and what I've seen is people using AI, things breaking, and no one knowing what's wrong or how to solve it. Who best to fix these problems than the specialists?

IMO, no! Because SEO is not a skill. SEO is a set of business practices, that contribute to your business being found online. It's about the technical implementation of your site, so your pages load fast and users don't bounce back to Google because they have to wait for your site to load (and more). It's about fulfilling your users search intent as fast as possible. There's much more to it than writing blog posts. Sure, it will help with the stuff you have to do. But it won't eliminate it completely, probably 😁

I'm not an SEO expert but it's an excellent question.

AI is indeed transforming the SEO landscape, automating certain tasks and making others more efficient. But it's unlikely to completely eliminate the need for human SEO skills. Creativity, strategy, and understanding the ever-changing nuances of search engines will still require a human touch.

AI won't eliminate SEO skills but will reshape them. AI automates tasks like data analysis and content suggestions. Yet, human strategy, creativity, and understanding of evolving algorithms remain crucial. SEO experts will adapt, harnessing AI's insights to refine strategies for enhanced online visibility and user engagement.

I think it is the next step in the evolution of content optimization. We have used AI a lot for our blogs and have used it also to optimize the content on our website. We are launching on 17th Aug and would appreciate your support. Please follow the SayData Ph page to get notified on the launch day - https://www.producthunt.com/prod...

SEO can never really go irrelevant. After working with 200+ clients in the Marketing domain, I can vouch that SEO is here to stay. With ChatGPT and further AI models, SEO will evolve but it's absolutely here to stay. People think, I can go and ask any question on ChatGPT and it will solve my query. 1st of all, generative AI Models doesn't have the exact current data. So, for any current news or updates, you have to go to google or other search engines. Secondly, a large population of the earth especially the older generation still doesn't have that much exposure to AI models. They will definitely prefer Google. So, SEO is here to stay. It's not going anywhere.

It will help to ease/optimize work, however, will not eliminate people. Just my opinion :)

No, I have three websites, one of which relies on ChatGPT to synthesize content: https://www.tech-sparks.com/. It is without a doubt the worst performing of the three sites. Pure artificial intelligence will cause the included content to be spit out, which I think is a sign of poor content.
