Did you experience a situation when you were looking for something (item, product or service), googled it and still could not find it? What was that thing?
This is happening to me too, especially when the keyword I'm searching for has more than one meaning or is associated with a common product. Lately, I've switched to using AI-based searches. I'm using the paid version of ChatGPT, but Bing AI search works well too. In my opinion, the era of Google searches based solely on page indexing is over. Large Language Models (LLMs) can easily search and summarize the results to make them more relevant.
@elena_malneva I agree with you. I live in the US, so it's less of a problem for me, but I can imagine it's suboptimal in other countries. I thought of a simple example of this problem and conducted a small test. Let's say I'm searching for Spark (the data analytics engine). Searching for "Spark design" brings up irrelevant results. Better results come from "Apache Spark design," but it's not always clear how to formulate the inquiry properly.
The more specific a search term gets, the harder it is to find relevant results.
This is because the bulk of information on the web is geared towards laypeople and general audiences, and so, when you're highly specialized in a field, the pool of relevant results decreases, and the chance of finding what you're looking for diminishes drastically.
Many people encounter situations where they struggle to find a specific product or service through online searches. If you have a specific question about your product idea, feel free to ask, and I'll do my best to assist you!
