Hello Hunters! My name is Adelle Grogg, I'm the CMO and Partner of 📲GIFgram, the modern greeting card app! GIFgram is still relatively new, but I am excited to reintroduce 𝐇𝐨𝐰 it started. The founder had been dabbling with a few different product ideas, but “sending a package and greeting as if you were there in person“ seemed to be the best idea (PRE COVID). Crazy, we know!
Now that we are entering the second full year of pandemic life, we’ve put massive energy and a lot of effort behind building features we thought our users badly wanted during this time. To stay connected and still feel close and personal while physically apart is something majority of our user base has expressed over the last year+.
Today our product is available for download through the App Store and Google Play Store. Over the last year we learned how to analyze feature requests, and even ran surveys- but came to a familiar spot which is how to measure the effectiveness and the impact. Just in this year alone in the U.S. there is an expected three billion packages (estimated) to ship through the mail! Talk about demand!
GIFgram offers advanced features allowing the user to create an account, enter a U.S. based tracking number, create a video or selfie image, and attach it to the package that is out for delivery. When the tracking number is updated by the shipping service, the recipient receives your video or selfie greeting in a text message. This way when they literally start opening the new package that JUST arrived, your video message or personal greeting shows up to introduce the surprise.
𝐇𝐨𝐰 is it 𝐞𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭? First and foremost, GIFgram was designed for the people, with the people in mind. During a time that challenges us to stay connected our app gives people hope, joy, and healthy surprise. It has been an honor to create technology that integrates with shipping carriers which aims to improve overall quality of life.
We hope to take the app international and seek investment round funding. So far we have over 2000 happy users in just one year of launching! I can proudly say, my team and I have put so much effort to make it work and now we're enjoying the fruits. Previously when I shipped a package to family, I would find myself routinely checking for the delivery confirmation so that I could reach out to them and share a few appropriate words for the occasion. It was always great when my schedule wasn’t so busy or I wasn’t distracted and I was able to make the connection but I was disappointed each time I missed the opportunity. This is no longer a problem for me. In fact, my family will now reach out to me immediately when receiving the package along with my video to chat about both. I can tell that it makes a huge difference - warm smiles.
