Hey community 👋
Over the recent months, my team worked on improving navigation inside of GitLab, and one of the biggest challenges was that almost all navigation in modern DevOps tools is project/group-centric, instead of user-centric.
We do hope to enable more of this inside of our GitLab UI, e.g. by creating a homepage with similar information (https://gitlab.com/gitlab-org/gi...). but doing it in this form allowed me to move super quickly (and yes, my code is seriously horrible 😁) and be a bit more independent.
Our biggest hope is that this will now enable us to learn more about how users would actually use this new user-centric navigation approach, so that we can directly implement these learnings when we start working on that issue.
