@andreasklinger many thanks, please spread the word to all the awesome women in your life. feel free to reach out to myself, lauren or jena (all first name at glassbreakers.co)
We built Glassbreakers in order to make mentorship for women a lot easier and more accessible. Would love feedback on the user experience and on boarding to see if we make the concept of 'peer mentorship' clear enough to users. We're accepting beta users on a rolling basis for women in technology.
Hi Corley, thanks so much for the feedback- we did have financial modeling and removed it as an interest. we'll try to add it back in shortly. As you are already signed in with linkedin, you can just re-sign in again and you can change those paragraphs on your profile whenever you need to!
We knew the problem we were the most passionate about solving was gender inequality in the workforce and the solution that had elevated our careers was mentorship. We dove into months of research about mentorship for women and discovered peer mentorship opened up a whole new window of opportunities. Then we got to product and built an algorithm that would match women with peer mentors who could offer real career value
Hey there. Love the idea.
FWIW, I started the sign-up process and have some suggestions...it would be great if finance was one of the interests. I would also like the sign-up process to be easier. You just asked for my LinkedIn profile - AWESOME! But now I've had to abandon the sign-up process, because I do not have time to write the paragraphs that you've asked for. I want those paragraphs to be thoughtful, the site deserves that. :-)
I'll definitely come back to it - its a great idea!
@eileenmcarey@laurenmosenthal good to know. I still think finance is interesting (like marketing, operations, etc), but I'm also a numbers geek. :-)
I'll definitely finish my paragraphs later. Excited to see it in action. And so glad you love Product Hunt! (I do, too! :-) )
Thanks @corley for the suggestions. We conducted a lot of UX testing and found that people wanted to include areas on her profile that were specific to her Glassbreaker profile, since it's used a bit differently than LinkedIn. Women wanted to be more personal on GB since it's a private, safe network.
Thanks for all of the upvotes. We love Product Hunt :)
