Hey everyone! It's awesome to be featured on Product Hunt :) Workey is an AI career tool for techies who aren't looking for a Job but want a better career. During my own career, as a software engineer, I’d always ask myself - "Where do I see my career heading?” My fellow co-founders and I realized that people hate that question and decided to build Workey. Workey uses AI to compare your unique career history to millions of others to suggest highly personalized open career opportunities in real time. Workey helps you know where you stand by showcasing your fully anonymized profile to 500+ tech companies so you can discover how many companies are interested in you, without knowing your name. @theashtube you hit a scenario where we decided to talk with you in miles (and not KM) but instead of showing the miles value, we’ve converted the km value (20km) to miles which is 12.42... haha. Fix is on the way. Thanks for catching this!

I love Workey, I found my current job through the platform and the process was awesome.

Pros:

There are tons of hot companies, and its completely anonymous.

Cons:

Its mainly for me and my tech friends, not other professions

@dhulser thanks for joining the discussion! Limbo looks interesting and seems that we share some of the anonymous concept which is great. What distinguish Workey from Limbo and others is - 1. We've decided to eliminate search and filtering - we know how hard it is to answer career related questions and define exactly what you're looking for - so we don't ask such questions. Workey compares your data to millions of others and provides suggestions, then based on your feedback (a thumb up or down) - we continue to better understand what is the best fit for you. 2. Workey is built for people who aren't looking for a new job but want to be on top of their career. Unlike other marketplaces - our users don't have to set multiple interviews immediately but rather have the freedom to explore on their own and discover what's best for them.

I like Workey mostly because it works for me in the background - while continue with my life. I get a job match from time to time, exposing me to what's out there for me. When I see something I like, I am click away from it. The mobile app makes the process even simpler and clandestine - all I want from a job match service.

Pros:

They know exactly what I might like - and saves time in browsing in non relevant positions

Cons:

The mobile app is missing some of the web features - I hope they get it soon!

Built for the passive talent - Workey is built for people who aren't looking for a new job but want to be on top of their career. Unlike other marketplaces - our users don't have to set multiple interviews immediately but rather have the freedom to explore on their own and discover what's best for them. 3. Anonymous - we're anonymizing your profile completely so you can see who is into you without knowing your name. 4. Long term discovery experience and not a job hunt - Workey is for maximizing visibility for our users, there is no time limit, nor "batches" or "showcases". Users are matched to opportunities constantly and decide if to pursue and upvote, similar to PH :) 5. No pushy recruiters - no pushy recruiters, nor talent advocates. It's you and only you. I really like Workey, and its great that you have a mobile app now - it is very important when looking for a job, that way no one will take a glance on my screen.

But what about the less cooler kids with Android? when can we join the mobile party?

While Hired is tailored for talent who is actively looking for a job, we at Workey are built for people who are NOT looking to switch a job at the moment but rather want to explore and stay on top of their career. More details - 1. Once you're on Hired - your complete profile, including full name is displayed to hiring companies. On Workey- we're anonymizing your profile completely so you can see who is into you without knowing your name. 2. When you signup to Hired, you build a profile and wait for companies to approach you. Workey provides a discovery experience and two-way marketplace - Companies can apply to you based on your anonymous profile but in addition to that - we compare your data to millions of others to show you concrete suggestions for career opportunities in real time. You can thumb-up and signal the employer that you're interested or thumb-down so our AI can refine itself. 3. Hired like other marketplaces - are into "batches" and "showcases" - so every user gets limited visibility.
