@colemercer Hello Cole. The app just came out today! Capto comes with an easy-to-use video editor that can polish captured videos without a steep learning curve. This, we feel, is a very important feature and sets Capto apart from the others.
@globaldelight Nice... I actually really enjoy Global Delight products - great UX. I noticed this replaces your current app store app for screen capture. Any plans to put this one in the App Store for those of us that prefer buying there?
@nwkwan Hello Nick. Capto is basically and end-to-end solution that encompasses capture and editing tools, so that users don't need multiple apps to create compelling screenshots and recordings. This is especially useful for DIYers, YouTubers, Vloggers and those who work by sharing the contents of their screen.
Great little tool. Do note that the free version includes a massive wattermark on your videos, so you really need to pay to use the software, despite the "14 days full-featured trial" ;-)
Capto is a new screen recording and editing app suite that’s perfect for creating informative and compelling captures. Very impressive new addition in the screen recording arena. Got all the stuff one needs and has a bunch of features that make it stand out in the crowd. Nice!
Any educators out here? If anyone represents a college/university/educational institution, register on Capto's page to get 2 free copies! See http://globaldelight.com/capto/e...
Capto is an all-new screen capture app that unifies high definition video and image capture, video and image editing, file management and sharing into one app. Capto has a clean interface and comes with powerful features that enable users to create professional quality videos and images from screen captures. The app is perfect for creative professionals, Teachers, Students, Vloggers, DIYers etc.
This is fantastic. I've been looking for a good replacement for Camtasia and Napkin. Unfortunately, after looking into the video capture editor, it is extremely limited. It still looks great for image capture and annotation though.
@unseenvision Hello Patrick. The video editor comes with the most used tools that help polish a screen recording. However, we are constantly looking at introducing new features and future updates will definitely bring more functionality :)
WOW. Capto is amazing. I've spend a lot of time trying to find the best solution for recording remote user tests, and I think I've struck gold. The audio quality is great, frame-rate is perfect and editing is super simple. Thanks everyone who put time into making this incredible product!
@leonhitchens Hello Leon. Capto is currently built only for OS X since we primarily focus only on the audio, video and photo space, and most professionals in this field use a Mac.
Capto has worked solidly for me so far and is my go to app for quick captures and edits. I used to use Clarify for screen captures (which is also a good app) but had to switch when I encountered memory issues in El Capitan.
