I found this book profoundly moving and incredibly upsetting. It's the story of four friends living in NYC, from their very very small beginnings to their great successes. Underpinning all of it is the extraordinary struggle of Jude, and the ways the other three love and care for him.
If you're looking for a light fun read, this is not what you want. But if you're willing to struggle with some of the boldest fiction of the past year, it is well worth its 700+ pages.
