UPD' 2019: RealtimeBoard is now called Miro.
A whiteboarding platform for distributed product teams with a growing set of add-ons. Customize it to various use cases (from Agile to UX) and make it a part of a seamless workflow with the most popular tech tools.
For me, Realtime Board has beautifully united:
+ loose sticky notes
+ 3M's sticky notes scanning app
+ project management tools (Asana, Trello)
+ diagram tools (draw.io, Visio)
+ clipboard tools (Evernote, Google Keep)
Works wonderfully on a touch-screen Chromebook.
Pros:+ It works like I work: backlog, notes. diagrams altogether
+ take pic of stickies in real life, become electronic ones
+ Constant updates
Cons:- doesn't do laundry.
Such a huuuuuuuge fan! I use RealtimeBoard for so many things - both in and out of work. From client projects to internal business planning to operation processes to personal planning, I can't stop raving about how much I love RTB to everyone I know. I'm also super impressed by the constant product iterations and feature updates that are constantly being released. Bravo, awesome work guys, I'm absolutely gushing but it's well deserved.
Pros:Very versatile, solid product, and consistent feature updates and improvements
Cons:Lack of offline mode is annoying
keep it up! wonderful product!
Pros:functionality. no images' compression as in draw.io.
Cons:no online backup. no enough features for mockuping)) - yeah, we use it for creating mockups too.)
Perfect realization of the next perfect collaborative tool. First there was Trello, then there was Slack. Now there is RealtimeBoard. This is the perfect SaaS tool for me as a remote UX designer. I love it. I think visually and when there's no whiteboard you lose context and I lose ability to communicate effectively with my peers and clients. RealtimeBoard does everything I need and constantly delights me with new features.
Pros:Powerful and feature rich. Live collaboration. Design
Cons:I want Figma integration. Also, VR would be awesome.
I'm not a designer, but I use RTB a lot to create simple sketches for some of my ideas on our products with comprehensive text descriptions. One image worths of thousand words! My sketches helps our designers and developers to quickly understand what I'm talking about and how my ideas connect to other products (thanks to unlimited workspace). I used to use Google Presentations for these purposes before, but RTB just stolen my heart! Good luck to the RTB team! Great product deserves fast organic growth! :)
Pros:Easy to use and very intuitive interface, fast and stable, collaborative. Unlimited workspace with custom frames is just awesome! :)
Cons:Not so many standard shapes.
We use this at work as a whiteboarding, product planning and strategic alignment tool. It's a good swiss-army-knife solution but leaves a number of things wanting. Simple image cropping would be awesome. Commenting and dialogue quickly gets confusing.
Pros:Can hold a spectacular amount of information and still be fluid.
Cons:Costly. Learning curve for non-tech is steep. Lack of version control / undo is HUGE. App is not great.
I mostly use the tool for affinity mapping and project planning now, but I used to do sketching and wireframing with remote team members. I wish I still had the same work process so I could use the new chat features and the integrations more.
Pros:Stickies! All the tools and integrations. Always working on improvements.
Cons:Sometimes buggy when loading. Limit on collaborators
Recommend
Pros:Effective instrument for projecting
Cons:Menu is simple and easy to use, there are many opportunities in working with images and web.
I have been using this tool for about a year and I find it reliable and user-friendly.
Pros:Everything. I love how it combines many different tools in one board. They are constantly adding features.
Cons:It does not have VoIP included.
