GoSquared has the most intuitive interface for an analytics platform. It is surprisingly a delight to look at! I have it open ALL the time keeping an eye on my site and app stats in real-time.
Pros:
intuitive, lightning-fast and light weight real-time analytics.
@jeffrey_wyman Hi Jeffrey, thanks for the feedback! There are certainly cheaper tools, but there are also a lot of _much_ more expensive tools out there too (lots of tools get crazy expensive by growing per seat, per contact, or per whatever else).
We strive for simplicity in everything we do, and we've been finding that just the one fixed price plan seems to be refreshing for loads of folks shopping around in this space. Hope that helps!
Thanks for this feedback, Alastair – very kind! Regarding free tier – we still have a 14 day trial, but no free tier for the time being. Never say never – we're not fundamentally opposed to the idea of a free tier, but pricing is so much simpler right now with just the one premium tier.
Been using GoSquared for almost 2 years now and Assistant was a delight when it popped into beta. We initially signed up for analytics, got hooked by live chat, and Assistant brings more customisable features to the lead capture and live chat solution that's already a force to be reckoned with. I wouldn't dream of switching to anything else.
Basically, GoSquared or go home.
Pros:
Easy setup, intuitive interface, and fabulous support
Steve – you are amazing. Thank you for this! A lot of our customers have taken this same route – using analytics and then progress to making use of the full platform. Lots more where this has come from too I promise ;-)
The analytics alone are great - far easier to get an overall idea about your visitors compared to something like Google Analytics. In GoSquared your users are actual people, in Google Analytics they feel more like just a number.
Pros:
GoSquared is a UX-designers dream. Everything is intuitive and just 'works'.
I've been an on and off long time customer of GoSquared but have use solidly for the last 18 months or so, and I love what they do - be that the product, their outlook, the customer service. I've given them a lot of feedback but never been made to feel like I'm being a pain and this is because the GS team really want their product to be right and work for you. Let me mention pricing which is always a factor in these things. I've used GS for startups when you don't want to spend any money and I've used GS across varying pricing structures and I actually think they've hit quite a good sweet spot. Is it expensive to a startup or freelancer? Probably, but that will be initial concern. Bite the bullet because what you get it's so very much worth it. This is the last bit of paid for software I would remove from my sites / business and I don't even use the full abilities.
Pros:
Fast, "just works", team are responsive, excellent analytics too

I've been using GoSquared with a couple of projects, and it has all the functionality I want for analytics + chat.
There is basically no learning curve to get set up, as everything is really intuitive.
I'm always surprised it's not mentioned more frequently as an alternative to Intercom/Drift.
Pros:Very easy set-up, great combination of analytics + chat
Cons:No free tier anymore :(
