Unlock ultimate AI power: ChatGPT Pro gives you unlimited access to OpenAI's top models, including o1, GPT-4o, and Advanced Voice. Pro mode supercharges o1 for complex problem-solving. Your AI companion, turbocharged. $200/month.
Would love to see it solve real problems. Why not make a testimonial where it solves open hard problems in semi-famous open source projects on GitHub? I feel like without proof, it's just clever marketing. It's so easy to prove, it would take 30minutes to prove it, yet they opt for just saying it's awesome instead of actually showing it. Sorry for roasting. But the bar is high on PH now days 😸
@sentry_co yeah I think this is a compelling idea. certainly there could be really interesting demos if it was _that_ next level.
i dont doubt people will pay though, some probably just out of curiosity!
@catt_marroll Yeah. Many services claim to have more intelligence than they really have. Proof is in the pudding. Solve them outstanding Opensource tickets and I'll pay $20k a month easy. But we are miles away from that level. And we may never get even close to that. My prediction is that we are close to peak level already.
Let's estimate how long this will take and listen to the cherry on top.
I asked My brother O1-
"Determine for how long in hours at your salary of 20$ ( 50$) will pay off using the model O1 ProMod. Determine how many hours per month you would need to use to get a payback at your rate of zero dollars."
My brother O1 replied:
Comparing efficiency
I’m calculating the efficiency gain between O1 standard (60%) and O1 Pro (80%). The difference is 20%, translating to more productivity, with O1 Pro covering the $180 uplift in monthly fees.
Assessing efficiency
I’m determining that O1 Pro, costing $200, achieves 80% efficiency compared to O1 standard, which costs $20 and achieves 60% efficiency.
Evaluating efficiency gains
Interestingly enough, O1 Pro boosts efficiency by 33.3%, saving 0.2 units of work per hour. Without wage or time value, there’s no cost recoupment.
Assessing time efficiency
Notably, O1 Pro saves approximately 0.333 hours per hour of usage compared to O1 standard, translating to a $180 monthly expense difference.
Assessing time saved
With O1 Pro, each hour of usage saves about a third of an hour needed with O1 standard.
Assessing worth
Unless there’s a hypothetical time value, zero wages mean the time saved by using O1 Pro doesn’t translate to monetary recoupment.
Assessing time efficiency
Interesting observation: at 80% efficiency, producing the same output takes 0.4167 hours less compared to 60% efficiency, showing clear progress in productivity.
Evaluating time efficiency
O1 Pro yields 0.8 units per hour, saving 0.333 hours compared to O1 standard’s 0.6 units/hour, with a $180 monthly cost difference.
Calculating savings
With a $20 hourly wage, using O1 Pro for 0.333 hours saves $6.67 in labor costs compared to O1 standard.
Evaluating time and costs
Using O1 Pro for $20/hour saves $6.67 per hour, needing about 27 hours to balance the $180 fee. For $50/hour, the savings are $16.67 per hour, requiring around 10.8 hours.
Assessing time savings
With $20/hour wages, O1 Pro usage saves $6.67/hour, needing roughly 27 hours to balance the $180 fee. For $50/hour wages, the capital needed decreases significantly.

Interested in your opinion How much is your time worth?
I mean it makes sense, I like the ability to have unlimited access though - Will be intriguing to see how far some people are able to push it - Recent sub to the $20/month plan - Could be tempted to move to the larger one, will have to see :))
