Raise children aware of the screen-life balance, teach healthy digital habits, and reduce phone addiction with Grace, a new modern privacy-first parental control app for iOS.
Hi Hunters! 👋
This is Liana and Salavat, indie makers of Grace.
We’re super excited and happy to finally release the app after months of hard work.
Children are glued to screens nowadays (6hrs per day on average). Obviously, it’s not healthy physically and mentally.
To make things worse, parents on iOS had two choices: use Apple’s Screen Time or a third-party MDM-based app for parental controls.
The former is quite limited and buried in the Settings app, which makes it cumbersome to manage restrictions on the go.
The latter misuse the MDM technology, granting third-party companies extensive control over your child's device, like the ability to erase it remotely and access sensitive data, such as the child’s phone number, installed apps, visited websites, etc.
We’ve developed Grace to offer a third option.
Grace is built using the official Screen Time API that Apple introduced last year.
We’ve been able to build a full-featured parental control app, which has the same privacy-first approach, but with a much friendlier interface.
We designed Grace to let busy parents easily manage parental restrictions on the go with quick actions like Lock & Pause and flexible Schedules like Study Time, Bedtime, etc.
Grace works on iPhone & iPad.
Some feature highlights:
- Limit Daily Screen Time.- Pause & Lock, quick actions to allow or block everything in one tap.
Schedules, automated restrictions for recurring activities, such as Study Time, Bedtime, etc.
- Flexible Customizations, ability to block certain apps while allowing others. For example, during the Study schedule, parents may block distracting games and apps while allowing educational apps.
- Always Blocked Apps- Block Sites (coming soon)- Block In-App Purchases- Block App Installation & RemovalFurthemore,
- Manage an unlimited devices for free
- Grace is protected from uninstall, so kids can’t delete your restrictions unexpectedly
We don't track your Grace usage with Google Analytics like frameworks because we stand for privacy in all terms.
Core features of Grace are free.
Additional features are available in the Grace+ plan for $19.99/year with 14 days free trial.

Please feel free to share your feedback, thoughts. We are happy to answer your questions.
Many thanks for your support!
❤️ It means the world to us.
My congratulations with launching the app!
The problem that you are solving is important. Grace app looks fresh and nice.
I had a call with my mom and we tried to setup the app on nephew's iPad. It was not too easy because we did it remotely. Nephew Max is going to the disco tonight and has no idea that I will see and manage him activity on the iPad tomorrow. 🤞
@khanov Congratulations on the launch!! This is an extremely useful and much-needed product! All the best :)
Also wanted to know how did you come up with this idea?
@riddhi_dagli Thanks!
It feels like our backgrounds led us to building Grace.
Before Grace, Liana worked at her startup, which she started to reduce children’s phone addiction. She created interactive children’s books with AR to switch their focus from entertaining videos and virtual games back to real life, books, and instill the love of reading.
I worked on 1Blocker, which focused not only on blocking ads, but also on protecting people’s privacy online. Being in the privacy field, I was aware of Apple’s conflict with MDM-based apps.
So we knew about all the shortcomings of Screen Time on iOS and the MDM-saga, we became excited to build a new parental app, which is not based on MDM and offers an easy-to-use interface.
Congratulations on your launch! I really love this. As a parent of three tech-obsessed littles, I cannot wait to try it. Thank you for your hard work--this tool is vital and I know parents will embrace it.
