There are plenty of decentralized apps in the world, but not many of them mean anything or have the chance to have a real impact. Graphite for Journalism is different. It provides the tools that journalists need badly these days. Check out their official release at the Oslo Freedom Forum and it's being demonstrated at the Interactive Expo.

The product is compared to Google Docs etc. still in a pretty early stage, though it's already a very solid product. If you care a lot about your data, and you want to keep your content secure, though you need to collaborate online with others, this might be your choice. Updates are coming fast.

Pros:

decentralized app -> you have full control over your data.
