Hi all, I've just released an update of Grid version 1.1. It now supports managing windows using gestures. You can see the demo video above or visit https://macgrid.app/#gestures to learn more. Hope you like it and find it useful.
Aris
@choodique @mickc79 you may want to check it out.

@choodique @mickc79 @arisf Is there a gesture for thirds?
Aris
@mickc79 Thanks for checking it out! Upgrade: You can quit and relaunch the old app and it should prompt you about the upgrade. Gesture for thirds: You can hold the “shift” key while swiping. Full list of gestures can be seen in the preferences. Let me know if you have any further questions or feedback. Thanks! p.s. I didn’t know that when you hit reply, it will tag all the people that’s previously tagged. Please remove choodique in your next reply, so he/she doesn’t get spammed.

I use Magnet - why should I change?
Primer
wow ok, it's literally the same app as Magnet. Same options, same keyboard shortcuts. Zero difference.
Aris
@mickc79 Thanks for checking it out! Few improvements compared to Magnet: 1. I don't know if you notice it, but using Grid, when you drag a window, there will be subtle hints on the corners & edges of your screen (no need to drag it all the way to the corners or edges). It helps users to remember that they can snap the windows. Screenshot: https://filetransfer.io/data-pac.... 2. Better positioning & resizing when you move windows to different monitor. 3. Ability to move windows to the first monitor immediately from the last monitor and, the other way around, if you have 3 or more connected monitors.

Hi @arisf, Your product is indeed very cool and a bit different from "Magnet". The gestures are convenient, and it's what sets the product apart from others. Feature requests: [01] Triggers too soon on top. (If I want just to put a window on top without it to trigger I can't. "Magnet" has this on a sweet spot) [02] Configurable option: Ability to "Unsnap to original size". [03] Configurable hotkey: Enable the gestures when pressed. (sometimes triggers by mistake) [04] Configurable option: Less finger travel to go through all thirds. (Magic Mouse has little width)

Hi, One question - how is your application better than free https://rectangleapp.com/ ?
Aris
@choodique good question! I've tried Rectangle and I have been enjoying it and sharing it to my families and friends. However, some of my friends & families told me that they keep forgetting that they have such a nice app in their Mac. When you use Grid, it will give a small hint on the corners & edges of your screen when you drag a window. This has helped my friends and families to remember that they can snap the windows.
Aris
@choodique Not that hint. But this one: https://filetransfer.io/data-pac... Subtle hint lines will be shown on edges and corners without needing user to drag all the way to the edges or corners. This helps remind user that they can drag all the way to the corner and edges to snap the window.

@arisf In my humble opinion, it is very intrusive. p.s. I wish you good luck in promoting your application!
Aris
@choodique If users find it intrusive, they have the option to disable the hint in app settings. Thanks for the great questions!
