I've been meaning to play Grim Fandango but it came out right before my time.
Point-and-click adventure games are nostalgic. The Secret of Monkey Island is one of my favorites. I actually had the pleasure of working with LucasArts to publish the remastered version on Facebook and in the browser (embeddable) ~5 years ago when I worked at InstantAction (RIP).
Here's the trailer:
@timoflegend I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the future of story-driven adventure games. They were once very popular and still very much loved in some niches, but do you see a revival coming? I can imagine Oculus igniting new interest in the genre.
This is getting released tomorrow. Did anyone else used to love this game? It's been completely remastered, 16 years after the first release (makes me feel super old)
@_jacksmith Dayum, loved this game so much. Completely sucked me up.
Almost as high on my adventure game list as Full Throttle! @rrhoover did LucasArts ever publish a remastered version of this?
