Help Me Vote — Become an Informed Voter

My lack of engagement in politics in the past was primarily fueled by a lack of knowledge to the issues and platforms at hand. This tool fills that void and makes it easy to get a better understanding of candidates and issues ahead of election time.

I came up with the idea for this product when I was looking for a go-to resource for election research at every level. I was disappointed to find out that such a tool simply didn't exist, so I set out to build it. Enter Help Me Vote. It alerts you to upcoming elections in your area, which candidates are running, and an analysis of their platforms. Using your answers to a questionnaire, it'll calculate a match score that represents how well each candidate aligns with your values. This simplifies the research process and takes the tediousness out of voting, especially at the state and local levels. I've been overwhelmed with the positive feedback from the initial rollout of the app. It's clear that I'm not the only one who wanted something like this - a lot of people wanted to make informed decisions without such a high barrier. Easy to use, insightful, and just plain useful for this upcoming election. I know about the President/VP Candidates, but not so much my local officials. I definitely will be using this to make an informed decision when I cast my vote.
