Hey everyone👋! Imrich here, CEO of Sentien. We are excited to introduce Sentien Audio -- an open-ear headset that merges offline and online realities. Just like smart glasses for your ears. Solving human-computer interaction is one of the largest challenges we are facing. We wanted to call people, listen and watch content or use AI assistants without the need to take a phone out. We wanted to build a brain-computer interface or smart glasses but the technology is not there yet. So we focused on audio. The current solutions were falling short on: 1. Availability (location specific) or 2. Compromised either online or offline reality (plugged ears or earphones out of ears). An interface which is always available decreases these frictions. At first, we wanted to build only software but the existing open-ear headsets were falling short on basic functions. We have been wearing and testing all form factors of open-ear headsets for more than 3 years every day. We implemented all learnings into Sentien Audio. The main points innovated on: ✅ Comfort: Ergonomic shape and adjustable fit 🎤 Microphone quality: Improved voice pickup & noise cancelling 🔋 24h+ battery life: 10h continuous play, up to 72h normal use ⚙️ 100% configurable via Sentien Connect app: Match gestures to your own actions, headset preferences, Over-the-air updates and more We went through it all - concepts, mockups, prototypes, look-alike prototypes, works-like prototypes, working prototypes, pre-manufacturing. And now, we have raised more than $650,000 on Kickstarter. Is Sentien Audio real? Yes! @krizmarek Which part would you improve? We wanted to use just the "pods" in front of the ears, but glue on skin is sub-optimal, as well as titanium screws. 😬

@ondrej_rohon1 Bone conduction sends audio directly to your inner ear, bypassing your eardrum. As long as the cochlea is healthy and intact, you’ll be able to hear it even with a damaged eardrum.

@petradiener @good_lly Hi, "4 main categories" It`s good, it`s not very important and not critical. Aftershokz battery life is very good. The most important problem for Aftershokz and for your design: 1) It a case when you don`t want to hear sounds around you 2) The arch on the back of the head rests against the back of a chair or sofa and moves the headphones If you fix this, you create something really new with your killer feature and unique value proposition. Right now it's a simple copy-paste in a new design with different values of parameters.
