@stefanpretty You can import from, and export to, Markdown, but we have a toolbar (and keyboard shortcuts) for formatting. We support everything in our toolbar that Markdown does.
@adam_b_long feature request that as a type in markdown it converts to formatted! It's nice and quick to type in markdown I find :)

I love me some Hemingway Editor. The new version is super slick as well. Also love that those of us who've already paid for it don't have to re-buy it even though it's a major update. Very nice work @adam_b_long - I'm a big fan.
@paulprins Thanks Paul. Sometimes it's nice for software to not come with a monthly charge. It's a tad old school these days.
Most of my writing is either in emails, my website or social media. Will this be good for me or is this more for bloggers.
So excited! Was using the beta editor for Medium articles recently, and keeping the editors in sync got to be a bit of a pain. Was worth it to simplify my writing.

I started using Hemingway to tighten up my Medium posts but now I use it for everything. Great way to crisp up your writing!
Pros:Love this product - Easy way to improve your writing
Cons:No better alternative on the market. Very basic UI though not sure that's a minus per se.
Love Hemingway, been using a combination of Reedsy, Grammarly and Hemingway online for my writing.
Question, is there the ability to connect Hemingway to cloud storage? I've tried a bunch of writing apps but for my workflow, I write from several machines (Mac + PC). I guess I could always save in a dropbox folder or oneDrive to making it online accessible but its not quite as smooth.
Also, any consideration for exporting to epub format? I always find this easier to share with friends+colleagues. It's easier on the eyes than sharing a pdf or doc.

@levibostian Hey Levi — you can import and export Markdown. Currently, you cannot write markdown characters and see them turn into bold, italics, etc. You'd have to use the toolbar for the WYSIWYG experience.

I've been waiting for a great Mac app to write posts and one click publish, so happy to see a great editor with awesome features get the job done. It would be awesome if this could post to LinkedIn as well.
Great product. I use to edit my college papers in this. I like to think the professors appreciated it. Now I use it at work and share with coworkers.
Would love to see a paid web version of 3.0. I am a full time Chromebook user who lives in the web!
