I would love a Chrome extension to use inside Gmail, or any site for that matter. Not only could this make us better communicators online but also help improve non-writers/bloggers writing.
@gregoiregilbert ah yes, it's def offering more than Draft's! I just wanted to point out that Draft has added some version of this kind of writing help in case that update had gotten buried in your inbox :)
This is so much fun! Definitely want this as a plugin to environments where I normally write. If this automatically backs up in a reliable way, I'd switch out of Word and gDocs for my morning writing. I basically only use Word for the automatic word count anyway.
@imkialikethecar yes, that's a first step! But hemingway goes further (suggesting you simpler words, giving a reading grade to your text, etc). Although I'm definitely going to give this new Draft feature a try.
I'm a chronic abuser of semi-colons and m-dashes, and this app is turning my life around. Would love to see a Word integration for the REALLY long stuff, because right now I'm batch editing in Hemingway and then going back to Word so I can use the document map.
