Ok. Interesting that you’re communicating your product is described with the “no recruiters” tag line. You’re just turning engineers into recruiters and no legit engineer is going to want to sell their contacts. Because if they do, that contact is going to get targeted for a job they didn’t ask for and probably don’t even want. That will create negative blow back for their digital or real world relationship. Would love for you to prove me wrong. Good luck!

1. While this is a more open-ended launch, we usually give the specific details of the job opening to the engineers. Hence the engineer only recommends those they think are a great fit for the given jobs.
2. The default is that their recommendation is anonymous. Hence no blowback to real-world relationships.

Any identifiable information consent is declared on the webstore as well. :D

Small request - could you limit the chrome extension to only access my activity on Linkedin? I can adjust it locally but extensions requesting global access just tickle the spidey sense :)
We have started Weekday Hiring Club where we are trying to make hiring easier for startups by unlocking a new supply of passive engineers who are not actively looking for jobs but are vouched by their friends.
We came up with this idea while hiring for our last startup. When we asked our friends for referrals, they couldn't remember who to refer. We then started asking them to do 10-min screenshare Zoom calls with us wherein they would scroll through their LinkedIn connections and recommend the ones they enjoyed the most working with. This increased our pipeline of candidates by 3x. We are productizing that approach with this product.
Now anyone can recommend the best engineers in their network to directly connect with founders of top startups.

@chetandalal1993 It looks from the slides above (unless I'm misinterpreting) that whoever suggests the candidate gets to view that progress, as well. Do the candidates have the option of keeping that information private from their colleagues?
