How is this product different from the other crypto fund apps out there? e.g. Snowball, Coinbundle, C20, etc.

1. HodlBot offers way more customization than all of the apps you've mentioned. While we offer a few indices as starting points for beginners, a HodlBot user can create any kind of portfolio they want to.
2. We allow users to customize their portfolio management settings. For example, you can choose between periodic & threshold rebalancing, and set ranges for both. You can also blacklist coins you don't like.
3. Users hold the underlying assets rather than a tokenized abstraction. We think this is much better for liquidity & also mitigates the risk of price mismatches.
4. Better liquidity. Instantaneous entering & exiting the market via the cash-out to stablecoin feature.
5. Better order execution. We try to mitigate slippage & transaction costs.

A popular strategy amongst our users is to switch their portfolio into a stablecoin portfolio when the market is going down. Another common strategy is to dollar cost average in order to lower the average entry price.
We don't give any investment advice or recommendations that our investors should try to time the market. Timing the market is very difficult to do. Most professional traders fail to get it right.
We're big believers in passive investing. Time in the market > trying to time the market.
Been a fan since the beginning, and now with threshold rebalancing Hodlbot is better than ever. My only concern is that crypto is left on-exchange. It would be magical to be able to store on a hardware wallet, and still rebalance (I use the word magical for a reason - I know how difficult this would be ;) )
HodlBot is amazing. A friend introduce it to me. Loving it. Any plans to add withdrawal access? Else, any best practice recommendation for withdrawing?
Very well executed, well done! Your video does a great job of showcasing the product and your landing page is gorgeous! It would be good to see more detail on fee spend on the overview page and maybe some more portfolio attribution statistics like drawdowns and performance relative to BTC buy&hold (which should be the benchmark :P)

I've been using HodlBot for over a year now and am a huge fan of how easy it is to set up and use. I can set up different porfolio allocations like BTC-heavy, Altcoin-heavy, and stablecoin-heavy and switch between them at a click of a button in times of high volatility. Another really cool feature is that you can re-balance regularly to keep a set allocation. Their price is super affordable and you should definitely try it out to see for yourself what a joy it is to use.

We are fans of indexing & passive investing. Historically in the equity markets, indices have outperformed 90% of active managers over a 15-year period. We believe a well-diversified cryptocurrency portfolio will yield similar results compared to active traders.
We initially created HodlBot because we were frustrated there weren’t any simple solutions out there for everyday investors. Existing solutions either were only available for accredited investors, had terrible liquidity, or simply didn’t track the price of the underlying assets correctly.

When we first launched a MVP last year, all it did was diversify your portfolio across the top 20 coins by market cap.
Since then we’ve added the ability to:
-Create a custom portfolio weighting users can tweak
-Create a custom index based on a starting & ending rank, with percentage caps, and different weighting strategies
-Automatic rebalancing (custom frequency or threshold) that keeps your portfolio on track
-Backtest a portfolio to see how it would have performed in the past
-Blacklist coins you don’t want to include in an index
-Cash-out a % of your portfolio into any coin in order to exit the market
-Track the performance of your portfolio

I love the idea. How do you handle tax implications of re balancing a crypto portfolio? Is there a way for users to quickly realize their tax liability?
@tom_merkle We working on a partnership with cointracking.info. Basically cointracking will ingest all the transaction logs and spit you out a tax friendly report at the end of the year depending on your jurisdiction.
This is one of the most beginner-friendly and simple to use bots, no magic just basic indexing and rebalancing. I'm a fan!
