Thanks so much for sharing @rajiv_ayyangar! Hey ProductHunt! I'm Stella, one of the co-founders of Hoop. After two years and thousands of conversations, we're excited to share Hoop with you and get your feedback. My co-founders and I were early executives at Trello. When we saw all you could do with generative AI we asked ourselves, "What could you do differently to help people stay on top of everything they have to do that you couldn't do when we were building Trello?" The answer was a project management system that could do most of the managing by itself. So that's what we built! Here's how it currently works and our vision: ๐Ÿ“† Give Hoop access to your work Google calendar, and Hoop will automatically capture tasks from meetings. You don't need to prompt or say anything: Hoop just knows the tasks, and who they are assigned to. โœ๐Ÿพ Connect Slack and Hoop captures tasks across all your channels and messages. No more marking messages as unread to come back to them later. Hoop knows your tasks and puts them in one spot so you never miss anything. ๐Ÿ“ง Hoop also works with email. Just cc Hoop or set up forwarding rules and Hoop will scan emails for tasks. Everything is in one spot with tons of context like meeting transcripts, topic and meeting summaries, auto-attached links and more. Beyond capturing tasks, Hoop also helps you prioritize and do the work that matters most. Once you have some tasks in your "Incoming" list, Hoop will suggest priorities. When you've confirmed your priorities, Hoop will just know and automatically label matching incoming tasks as "Important." ๐ŸŽง You can set Hoop to "Focus Mode" where only tasks labeled as "Important" will show up, giving you a clean view of what to work on next. Hoop automatically captures and aggregates tasks across tools, creating a unified task list. Then Hoop helps you focus on what's most important. Our view is that the future of task management is one where you spend way less time on managing work, and more time on the important work that moves priorities forward. Give Hoop a try and let us know what you think! Use code "PH15" for $15 off your first month.

Hey ProductHunt! We're so excited to hear what y'all think of Hoop. Don't forget to use code "PH15" for $15 off your first month after your free-trial period. Back in 2017, I wrote a post on the Trello blog about the system I rigged up with Zapier to try solving this problem for myself as a busy exec at a tech company. The system served me well for years, but it had three shortcomings: 1. I still had to manually trigger which things went onto my list. I had to "save for later" in Slack, and star emails in Gmail to get those things onto my list. This meant I had to stay super diligent about always checking all the things, and sometimes things still fell through the cracks. 2. I had to manage and prioritize all of the tasks manually. Things often piled up and it was always a challenge to figure out what was most important for me to work on next. 3. It wasn't collaborative. I couldn't share or delegate some tasks without sharing all of my tasks. As a manager and leader, this wasn't possible because some tasks were sensitive or private. Since that time, AI has made it so that software can do things that we wouldn't have been able to come close to doing even just a couple of years ago. This presents an opportunity for us to rethink how software can actually help us spend less time on the minutia of work and more time on the focused and creative aspects of our jobs. This is our mission and this is where Hoop comes in... Hoop uses AI to automatically capture tasks from chat, meetings, and email, ensuring that it all ends up centralized in one spot and nothing slips through the cracks. Then, Hoop can help you define what your most important work is at the moment, and help you focus in on just that work, easily blocking out all of the other noise. Some of our early users like Abby, a Senior PM, call it a โ€œlifesaverโ€ and โ€œmagicalโ€ for streamlining workflows and saving countless hours. Others have told us that they've been amazed how many things they would have missed before that they're now on top of because Hoop is there for them. And finally, others have remarked that they appreciate the opportunity to be more present and attentive in meetings because they don't have to rapidly scrawl down notes and tasks causing them to miss bits of the conversation. Give it a try and let us know what you think!

Love seeing this on PH after chatting about this new co a few years ago, @startupstella. :) What's been the biggest surprise or change in the strategy so far?
Stella Garber
@rrhoover Thank you :) Everything changed when ChatGPT came out! We were working on a related but different idea (better decision making for teams) and were really impressed by the AI features we were able to build. We thought it might be cool to take the team's collective knowledge in project management (given the Trello background of so many of us!) and apply it to an AI first task manager. Voila! That's Hoop.

So thrilled to bring our tool to the Product Hunt community. Building Hoop has been the highlight of my career as an engineer. Itโ€™s a joy to create something people call magical and life-changing. If anyone has questions about the AI capability and features, or the tech stack, more than happy to answer them here. Thanks for the support Product Hunt community!
Job van der Voort
[early investor] I'm so excited to see Hoop launch today! The team that built this is incredibly thoughtful about how they build their product, what it should and shouldn't do. This is not your average launch - this is a really built, actually immediately useful tool to help cut through the noise.

Huge congratulations to the Hoop team for the launch! I got to use Hoop during their beta and it is such a cool product. Total game changer for my productivity. Before I would get so distracted in meetings trying to stay focused but also take notes on my tasks and takeaways. With Hoop I can give my full attention, not worry about incoming Slack messages, and know that I can organize all of my tasks and never miss a beat. The meeting transcripts are a great unsung bonus feature too, helping me instantly gain context around the conversation that took place and the work that needs to get done. Can't wait to see what this team does next!
Brian Schmidt
@brian_cervino Thanks Brian! ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿš€๐Ÿš€

Hoop's a giant step forward for productivity. We've spent years thinking about how best to create tools that best help teams get on (and stay on) the same page. Now, with AI, we can build a thinking system that can dramatically ease the burden of creating and managing tasks for users. Once you connect your communication tools to Hoop and explain to us what matters most to you, Hoop creates and maintains an up-to-date system of work that captures tasks for you and tells you what to focus on next. And we're just getting started. Check it out and let us know what you think, and watch this space as we continue to evolve the experience. Oh, and use code "PH15" for $15 off your first month!

I've been trying out Hoop for several weeks. It's pretty magical. 'm an obsessed to-list maker and previously, I spent a lot of time entering in tasks into Todoist and setting priorities and due dates. Hoop is magical because it does all of this automatically. It saves a ton of time. I was skeptical how accurate it could be, but I've laughed out loud a couple of times with how impressed I was. It reminded me of the first time I was in a self driving car. No doubt, there is some grooming needed for the automatic tasks, but it pales in comparison to entering everything manually. I'd love to see more team features so that I can start using this to manage my team. Thanks Hoop people (Hoopsters? Hoopers?).
Brian Schmidt
@jheltzer Glad to hear it's working well for you Jason. I know we had some 'over eager' tasks especially in the beginning, I remember something in the early days about creating a task to help your son with a blog post. Thanks for sticking with us!

Hey Product Hunt! ๐Ÿ‘‹ I'm Brad, one of the founding engineers at Hoop, and todayโ€™s a pretty special day for our small but mighty teamโ€”weโ€™re launching Hoop to the world! We've all faced the problem of endless meetings and messages, with little time to keep up. Thatโ€™s why we built Hoopโ€”to help you focus on whatโ€™s important (your work!) without feeling worried or overwhelmed. Itโ€™s been great working with such a smart and capable team to get here, and now weโ€™re excited to finally share it with you. Iโ€™m looking forward to hearing what you think and would love your feedback! Feel free to ask me anything!
@startupstella congrats on launching hoop, I'm excited to try out. Curious if there were any surprising user insights as you were doing user research that made their way into specific product features? One example i noticed in onboarding was it looks like it shows a preview of a zoom gallery screen for tasks that originate in zoom. So curious to see how it works for my calls today
Stella Garber
@matthartman Yes! It was a LOT of user research. for example, the biggest thing is that most people don't really want transcripts or video clips from meetings: they just care about "what do I need to do?" and as they go from meeting to meeting, that can get lost. That's really the premise behind Hoop: regardless of task source, what are the things that I need to work on? And how can I manage them more efficiently without writing things down, remembering anything, or keeping track of items across a million tools and meetings. LMK what you think!
AnnaHo
Hoop is a brilliant tool for automatically capturing and prioritizing tasks across platforms, saving time on task management! I'm curiousโ€”will future versions allow integration with project management tools like Asana or Trello to further streamline task workflows?
Brian Schmidt
Thanks @annaho2000 - we have a Zapier integration that lets us connect to tools like Asana and Trello. Read more about it here: https://www.hoop.app/blog/connec...
Stella Garber
@annaho2000 Hi Anna! You can integrate with any other project management system using our Zapier integration currently. https://www.hoop.app/blog/connec... We'll be adding native integrations in the future!

I love the 'take the busy out of your work' line in the video. My current task management is really messy because it's just a random bunch of notes in notion plus I mark as unread some emails until I'm ready to do them, which kind of works, but then I often miss a bunch of stuff in slack and discord. It's useful to see everything in one place where I can prioritize them and the AI will only get better at second guessing what I find important. Giving it a try now will see how it works for a week.
Brian Schmidt
@hammer_mt awesome, thanks and let us know how it goes!
Chris Frantz
Hoop! Literally been following this company for years now and I'm so glad to see it finally launch. Big congrats to Stella and the team who have been heads down building this.

Kyrylo Silin
Hey Stella, I'm curious about how the AI distinguishes between casual conversation and actual tasks in meetings or Slack chats. Have you found any interesting patterns in how people assign or discuss tasks? Congrats on the launch!
Stella Garber
@kyrylosilin Great question! That's really the secret sauce behind what we're building and is part of the engineering challenge. Hoop is getting smarter at recognizing intent behind banter/conversation, and it also gets smarter over time as folks rate the task quality.
kaan dogan
Exactly what I needed in a busy worklife, thank you to everyone who helped in the creation of such a powerful tool!
