Not surprised to see HotelsTonight move in this direction after listening to @samshank's interview with @karaswisher on Re/code Decode.
@samshank - curious to hear your thoughts on the growing movement toward short-term and nomadic living. Is this a lifestyle you see increasing in popularity and if so, can you share any future product plans to support this group of people? E.g. an all-you-can-stay subscription service on HotelsTonight would be iiintteresting. π
@rrhoover@karaswisher Thanks Ryan! Nomadic living is definitely an interesting trend - I see it as part of a broader trend toward spontaneous living. Where should I go tonight - Napa? Vegas? A hip LES hotel with a rooftop pool? That's the lifestyle we enable. We'll continue to support this lifestyle and maybe even have a subscription offering (not showing our cards yet tho. :)
@samshank@rrhoover@karaswisher Agreed. Not just in the hospitality industry, but we're also seeing a huge shift in the workplace industry as well. Workers want flexibility.
@samshank well many needs may happen only during check-in but could be taken care of before. Eg booking a show ticket or restaurant table. I think you should allow the access to the concierge from the moment the hotel is booked and not just during checkin times. Ps big fan of HT you guys have a rock star customer support
@samshank I've been using your app on a daily basis since leaving my NYC apt of 20 years in Sept. 35ish bookings since then. Massive fan. The app and the concierges in the beta have been nothing short of wonderful. Keep it up and let me know if you need anything beta tested!
