Not surprised to see HotelsTonight move in this direction after listening to @samshank's interview with @karaswisher on Re/code Decode. @samshank - curious to hear your thoughts on the growing movement toward short-term and nomadic living. Is this a lifestyle you see increasing in popularity and if so, can you share any future product plans to support this group of people? E.g. an all-you-can-stay subscription service on HotelsTonight would be iiintteresting. 😊

@rrhoover @karaswisher Thanks Ryan! Nomadic living is definitely an interesting trend - I see it as part of a broader trend toward spontaneous living. Where should I go tonight - Napa? Vegas? A hip LES hotel with a rooftop pool? That's the lifestyle we enable. We'll continue to support this lifestyle and maybe even have a subscription offering (not showing our cards yet tho. :)

@samshank @rrhoover @karaswisher Agreed. Not just in the hospitality industry, but we're also seeing a huge shift in the workplace industry as well. Workers want flexibility.

Great idea. Been testing it. Wish it worked out of check in times. Been using operator for that
Sam Shank
@ourielohayon Thanks Ouriel - what would you want to use Aces for outside of checkin/checkout times?
Ouriel Ohayon
@samshank well many needs may happen only during check-in but could be taken care of before. Eg booking a show ticket or restaurant table. I think you should allow the access to the concierge from the moment the hotel is booked and not just during checkin times. Ps big fan of HT you guys have a rock star customer support
Sam Shank
@ourielohayon got it - makes a lot of sense. Good opportunity for improvement for sure!

a Logical move, but probably for an upper price segment. Reminds me of Flystein.

@samshank What are some common examples of the types of requests you can make to make your stay awesome?
Sam Shank
@salomemagazine Early check in. Late check out. Dinner reservations. Room type requests. Hours and locations of the nearest watering holes. Etc. Etc.
Alex Moazed
@samshank @salomemagazine use the same humans powering this concierge service to hack ordering room service from the app?
Marcos Ortiz
It's a very interesting offering from HotelTonight. It would very interesting to see a partnershp between Lolatravel and HotelTonight
Sam Shank
@marcosluis2186 Thanks Marcos - Paul and the team at Lola are great so definitely an opportunity there!
redboy
@samshank I've been using your app on a daily basis since leaving my NYC apt of 20 years in Sept. 35ish bookings since then. Massive fan. The app and the concierges in the beta have been nothing short of wonderful. Keep it up and let me know if you need anything beta tested!
Sam Shank
@redboy Thanks so much!
