Congrats @avishayovadia and team, this is awesome! It's always super interesting (and inspirational) to see the point of inception for such household names. It's easy to forget their humble origins! Thanks for putting this together :)
Eytan Levit
Really cool, I wish the timeline would be much bigger once clicked. Looking good, good luck!
Avishay Ovadia
@eytanlevit Thanks, we're working on redesign the web version
Sean Echevarria
@avishayovadia we're young but we have a great history mapped out if you wanted an easy win/add to the already amazing line-up! check out history.jet.com
Amitay Molko
@specheva @avishayovadia I think Jet.com is an amazing company with an amazing culture! I would be happy to make a jet.com timeline. It would be a great addition to our collection.
Uri Eliabayev
Truly amazing product - love the concept, the design and the UX. I'm definitely going to use it in my articles :)
Avishay Ovadia
@urieli17 Thanks for the feedback! We really appreciate feedback like that from a serious publisher like yourself. If you have any questions or need assistance, let us know and we'd be happy to help!

Great stuff!!!
Aaron Lumsden
Hey nice work. Its good to read about the history of companies. I've just noticed the share URL's for each timeline don't seem to be working on the social sharing buttons. Great job though. Im looking forward to the future of this project.
Reuven Karasik
@aaronlumsden Thank you! I just fixed the bug with the sharing buttons - it should work now. Thanks for your feedback!
Jared Krause
Interesting product. Could really benefit from expanded timelines. Keeping everything in a 500x500 box is a little hard to consume as a user.
Hillel Fuld
@AvishayOvadia Tell me about the team that built this because I know you and I've known about the concept for a while but the execution is wow.
Avishay Ovadia
@hilzfuld Thanks for asking! Our team is amazing: @amitaymolko - our awesome CTO, who is extremely passionate about getting things done...right; @reuvenkarasik - our 16 year old Front-End ninja; and our co-founder and investor @beninjlm who has been at our side during this exciting journey. We have additional innovative products under our belts, so stay tuned for more from the @Tline_io team!
Ben Tossell
Would love to see this concept for products too... and have comments around certain milestones too. Like a Change-log
Avishay Ovadia
@bentossell Thanks, Very interesting suggestion!
Carlos Herrera
It looks pretty good. Looking forward seeing your own timeline soon (*inception music starts*).
Pascal Morniroli
Really like the design. Could totally work for internal communication on projects too. Question: what about comapnies / brands which were born before the digital age?
Amitay Molko
@pascalmorniroli Great question! We have an option to add a data point without a link to an website. In the platform: You just hover on New Article and select Blank, then you can fill in whatever you want :)

@rotemthegolfer @avishayovadia Just curious, how do you add an image on PH comments?
Chez Ackerman
Looks great! Happy to have helped a little with the product!
Amitay Molko
@chezacke Thanks a lot for your early feedback! It was very helpful!
Cody McLain
Cool design and it looks really great. I'm excited to try this. :)

Hey Product Hunters! Gotta admit, a bit star struck to be launching here. I'm a huge fan of this amazing platform and community. I'm Avishay, Co-Founder and CEO of Tline. I'm 28 years old so I'm learning as I go along but this journey started like most startups with a pain point. I read a lot. And when I would read news articles on the web, I'd always find myself frustrated that I lack context. I mean, I'm reading about how Snapchat is going to IPO but I don't have the history of the company. I read that Product Hunt is working on something new and secretive but I don't know what led up to this point. I needed a timeline. So I built it! So how did Slack start? Want to see the timeline of Snapchat? Twitter? Facebook? Airbnb? Wework? How about Product hunt itself?? We created this page for you to see what Tline is all about. We think you are going to love it! https://tline.io/producthunt Tline lets you build a timeline from any content easily and beautifully. Whether you are just someone reading something on the web or you are writing about a company (Tline for example. Ahem ahem) on your blog, now you can add an engaging timeline for the story that will add the context the reader needs. We are so freakin excited to be finally launching this thing and I would love to hear your thoughts on the idea and our execution of it. I mean it. Please send me feedback. We can't wait to see what you can do with Tline. Create a timeline and explore the platform here: https://tline.io/producthunt Oh, and another part of this crazy journey, Tline was just selected LAST week for SCALE - as one of the top-60 promising startups "Fastest Growing Companies in Tech" by The Next Web! So jump by to say hi if you're there :) Thanks for everything you do. This community rocks!
Alex Pinter
@avishayovadia great approach - what is your business model?
Avishay Ovadia
@lxpinta thanks! We're currently speaking with a few large international publishers in order to start embedding interactive timelines in news articles. We will have sponsored timelines and split the revenue with the publishers.
Eli Luzac
@avishayovadia great to have the examples all there - makes the benefit of the product immediately visible. This as opposed to all the other solutions out that force you spend lots of time digging - good luck!
Avishay Ovadia
@hayush Thanks! Excited to see what timelines you Hunters will create ;)
David Feng
@avishayovadia This is meaningful and a great idea to learn about the intricate processes an milestones of great companies. In fact, I think some meaningful and impactful startups should be tracked too as they grow. With a robust community behind your platform I can see some great potential! Congrats on the launch!
Corey Abramowitz
Love stories of successful companies. Thanks! One thing I still think is a problem, is providing successful stories of lesser known companies still kicking it. Reason, Google, Facebook and Apple don't need anymore publicity. The little guys do. :) ✌️
Avishay Ovadia
@mrabramowitz On it :)
Dainis Kanopa
Great idea!
Aaron Buchanan
Dig! Though I'm lazy and expected to be asked a domain or name and see suggested contributions. I can see you having a fun time crawling, ranking, and learning from what people deem influential to find emerging patterns that can guide new starters. For example, the ability to filter a timeline by articles / board additions / executive team growth points, team size, tweets from employees about company news, etc. I'm sure you've probably already thought of that but wanted to share since I enjoyed checking out your product :-)
Amitay Molko
@chasingab Wow you have some great ideas!!! We are currently exploring different use cases for tline and not only for companies, like aggregating news articles related to the story (you can check out some examples on our homepage). But the features you mentioned could be really cool for companies, we will definitely keep them in mind. Thank you for your amazing feedback!
Matthieu de Luze
Great job here πŸ‘ I was wondering how do you define the "milestones" for each company? What are the criterias?
Reuven Karasik
@matthieudeluze Thank you! We based the milestones on the Wikipedia milestones :)
Omri Shabi
Good luck guys! Great idea, saves time!
