An open-source library for building and sharing web-based AI apps with ease. Deploy, customize, and share machine learning model demos in just a few lines of Python.
Hi everyone! I'm Hannah, a developer on the Gradio team. 👋
If you've not heard of Gradio before, there's no better time than now to check it out!
Gradio is the fastest way to demo your machine learning model with accessible, interactive, scalable web apps that you can easily share and embed for anyone to use. You can literally whip up a demo in 3 lines of Python code - though there is *so* much more you can do.
Gradio has become a really powerful developer ecosystem, which welcomes both code newbies and seasoned developers.
We've decided to do a relaunch on Product Hunt because Gradio 5 is here, and its a big one for us! We've got enterprise-grade security updates, polished UI components, server side rendering for major performance improvements, shiny new themes, and more. We're a small team with big goals for the open source AI community, with support from Hugging Face!
We'd also love your support! Contributions to our repo are always welcome, and if you find any bugs or have any suggestions for us, raise a GitHub issue or leave us a comment here.
Thanks for reading, folks! Hope to see you around 🤗
Gradio 5 looks fantastic, Hannah! The streamlined process for creating interactive web apps with just a few lines of Python is a huge plus for both beginners and experienced developers. The enterprise-grade security updates give me confidence for larger projects, and the performance improvements from server-side rendering are sure to make demos run smoother. I also love the new themes and polished UI components—they make building and sharing models even more enjoyable. It’s great to see Gradio continue to support the open-source AI community with such robust features. Excited to dive into the latest release and see all the new enhancements in action. Kudos to you and the entire Gradio team!
Congrats on the Gradio 5.0 launch! I'm excited to see the performance upgrades and new UI components. Any plans to add more pre-built components for specific ML tasks?
@simonas_kauzonas Thanks so much! We've got lots of ideas on our roadmap, but for anyone who doesn't want to wait, you're actually able to build custom gradio components! Here's a link if you're interested - https://www.gradio.app/guides/cu...
I was actually trying to utilize a model and I faced lots of problems for running it and downloading dependencies, I was like there has to be more platforms offering easy to access to AI models so we can focus on tweaking and building products more! thanks for being the ones to make that platform
Hello there! Yuvi here from the Gradio team. Glad to see that the Product Hunt community is appreciating the Gradio 5 launch.
Just wanted to share few more details about the major security enhancements in Gradio 5. We partnered with Trail of Bits for a comprehensive security audit, addressing vulnerabilities in four key areas:
1. Local Gradio apps
2. Deployed apps on Spaces or servers
3. Built-in share links
4. CI pipeline
We've mitigated issues like CORS misconfigurations, SSRF vulnerabilities, and potential RCE risks. Now, ML developers can build web apps that are not only easy to use but also follow best practices in web security by default.
Build with full confidence using Gradio 5! We have 6M+ monthly PyPI installs and 470K+ apps on Hugging Face Spaces to prove that we are the trusted, secure, and developer-friendly choice for ML web apps.
