Hi everyone! Recently, Hunter has been increasingly popular among marketers and PR professionals who need to outreach to online authors. While Hunter's email-finding tools could already help, we thought we could specifically address this need to make the task as simple as possible. This is how came the idea of the Author Finder. The tool requires just an URL, finds the author, gets their email address, and verifies it. We also found this was a particularly relevant feature to add to Hunter's browser extension. When you read an article, you can just click the extension to get the author's contact information. We'd love to get some feedback, be it on the tool or data returned. Thanks!

It can be very useful in the early growth stage, especially if there is no established database of journalists

do those people consent to be on the platform?

@angrigoryan__ Data distributed with Hunter has disclosed public sources. In the Author Finder, we indicate if the result is a guess or has public sources. The guesses are based on the public data available at the domain level. We remove contact or company information that no longer has public sources after 6 months or less. You can check more details on Hunter's data here: https://hunter.io/our-data

I've been a big fan of Hunter over the years. I've always wished there was an option to "Confirm" that an email is right, allowing the percentage chance it's correct to increase, or mark it as incorrect and decrease that percentage of accuracy.

Looks promising. How is it different from your regular email finder?
François Grante
@tomaslau Hi Tomas! The input is different. Instead of searching the email address by name, you enter an article URL.

I have used Hunter in the past, and I already liked it. But this is exactly what was missing. Thanks guys!

Would be all over it if it wasn’t tokenized. I won’t pay per email for the hundreds of media people I converse with.

Great idea! I tried it on a few blogs / articles but without success. Might be that I am in the wrong niche but unfortunately it didn't work for me.
François Grante
@andreas_pettersson Hi Andreas, sorry it didn't work for you. Don't hesitate to send us a few URLs that failed so we can take a look. Thank you!

Wow awesome. The timing couldn't be better! I'm developing a service for authors to protect their ebook too.
