Horrible and deceitful customer service - stay away! Last month, we rented a car for the daily flat fee, drove to Tropical Islands (we ensured they have charging stations before we went), and intended to charge the car while we were there. Unfortunately, the charging station was in use the entire time, so that we were unable to charge the car and therefore couldn't return to Berlin (no other charging stations nearby). We called the WeShare customer service hotline and explained the situation and they suggested that we a) leave the car there and b) take a taxi back to Berlin. They assured us multiple times that we would a) not be penalized/charged for leaving the car there and b) that we should send the taxi receipt (150 Euros) to them, because we could possibly receive a reimbursement for it. Up until this point, we were pleasantly surprised with the customer service. That completely changed when we suddenly received a massive invoice of 840 Euros (!!): 500 Euros for leaving the car outside the zone and another 240 Euros for an "Apportionment of incurred cost" (no further information on what this is). The customer service advised us to leave the car and that we wouldn't get a penalty, so they lied to us. In addition, they denied our request for reimbursement of the taxi ride, which again they had suggested we do. Furthermore, their customer service continued to lie and mislead us when we called them to resolve this issue. In multiple calls, they said they never assured us that we wouldn't be charged for leaving the car at Tropical Islands and that they cannot reverse the invoice/return the 840 Euros. We know that the calls were recorded, which prove that they did indeed assure us that we wouldn't be charged. So we requested a transcript of this call, but they are refusing to give it to us. In ensuing calls with customer service, they said they would get back to us within 48 hours regarding our request for a) the return of the 840 Euros and b) our request for the call transcript. It has been over a week and they still haven't returned any of our calls or emails. In conclusion, this is horrible and deceitful customer service. We are never again renting from WeShare and we are encouraging all of our friends and family to do the same. Stay away from WeShare!
