+ Keep up with a user’s Tweets — When a specific user Tweets, this Applet will send it to your phone during the day (between 8 AM and 10 PM) or save it to Feedly at night.
+ Post my Instagram photos to other services — This Applet posts your new Instagram photos to Facebook and Twitter and archives them to Dropbox.
+ Say "OK Google, good night" to get ready for bed — Saying "OK Google, good night" will activate a LIFX scene and set your Nest Thermostat’s temperature.
One of the ways Makers can use filter code in their Applets is if they only want the Applet to work during specific times, cancel specific actions, or adjust how an action may run based on specific criteria. Here's another example:
+ Turn on my LIFX lights when I enter an area, only after 8pm — Your lights will turn on when you're heading to a location, only if the time is after 8pm. (Link: https://ifttt.com/applets/TkNbSGdL)

@ryanmarr woohoo! Keep an eye on how it's working, as your published Applets can now be used by others. The good news is that as you troubleshoot and improve your published Applets, they will update automatically for all users who have them turned on too. 👍 👌 🤙
This is awesome! Finally! Any thoughts of how this stacks up compared to Zapier? Specifically, who and in what scenarios would each be better for?

I am not 💯% versed on the ins and outs of Zapier and their multi-step Zaps — so I don't have a detailed comparison to share. You should check them both out and see what fits your ideal workflow. There may be a cost for using Zapier, so that's worth exploring too. The other difference that I think is important for users to identify is which of the two has the app and product integrations that fill your life e.g. Nest, Twitter, Google, Hue, LINE, Wemo, etc etc. I hope this helps!
Since IFTTT's beginnings, we've heard from users who want to build beyond "if this then that." With the launch of Maker on the IFTTT Platform, we're opening access to powerful Applet building tools for free. Makers can now build multiple actions and JavaScript filter code into their Applets, leading to much richer experiences and stories.
The IFTTT Platform is actively evolving. We're working on new ways for Makers to collaborate, share feedback, and improve their Applets. Stay tuned for new capabilities throughout the year!
The only thing missing for me is to use the maker channel to make web requests but also use the response inside the filter. And also the ability to use more than one instance of any channel inside a applet.
