Ignition changelogs help you collect and organize feature requests to better understand customer needs and prioritize your roadmap, and then announce new features to customers via custom branded changelogs. Completely free, for life.
Hey ProductHunt folks!
Good news: We’re back with a new Go-to-Market tool from Ignition to help your products succeed 🚀🥳!
Good-er news: This one is 100%, completely free, forever 🆓🤑!
While we’ve been building Ignition, we’ve seen how tough it can be for some teams to collect and act on customer feedback in a scalable manner, and as always it can be hard to communicate new product updates to customers in ways that really drive adoption.
There’s a bunch of really great (paid) tools out there that help with this. But 1,000’s of dollars for a changelog tool? In this economy? We figured “hey, why not make it free”, so we did!
Now, even if you’re not using Ignition’s full set of GTM orchestration tools, you can easily:
* 💬 Collect customer feature requests
* 📈 Allow customers and teammates to vote, discuss, and prioritize feature requests
* 📣 Publish announcements to internal teams and public changelogs
* 🙋 Collect and segment lists of customers interested in upcoming features
The coolest part? This is a natural extension of Ignition’s core product, so when you’re ready to really supercharge your launch process, you can easily connect these feedback and announcement workflows to product roadmaps, personas, and launch plans. To celebrate, we’re even offering 90% off Ignition for the first year if you upgrade to a paid plan — just email “support [at] haveignition.com“ telling us you came from Product Hunt and we’ll apply your discount :).
Hopefully Ignition helps some of you out <3.
Would love to hear what you think!
@mituhin Thanks Paul! Yeah this is awesome for early companies that don't have a lot of time to squeeze research and product change comms in. Also good for bigger companies as well though, since they feel a lot of the same problems around this!
This looks really solid and can really help with informing and engaging customers. I need to check it out more hands on.
Any chance I can integrate the users with other tools?
(As a product person, I love your freemium approach here. You even directly answered my immediate question of how much you plan to continue investing in it despite it being free.)
@nyseans Glad it seems useful to you Sean! *Currently* you can't integrate the users who subscribe with other tools (you can export them to CSV so you can easily import them though), buuuut we do have integrations coming in the near future for this so you'll be able to easily pipe those subscribers to, for example, your marketing automation tool to be able to segment customer emails/etc. based on subscriber lists. Those are probably a couple months off, but absolutely on the roadmap.
@peter_douglas_ross Amazing to hear Peter! So glad to have you in our corner :). Definitely keep us posted if we can help with getting these pages set up at all!
Congrats on the launch! I really like the idea of democratizing features for the product road map and having an easy to launch customer-facing release notes process - will check it out for sure!
Ah nice! @kantarci was looking for a tool for feature request collection maybe this can be it. Can we have password-protected request pages that we can send to our design partners?
@kantarci@boroskoyo Password protection is coming *super* soon! Should have support for that sometime within the next month or so. Meantime, you can kind of work around that by sharing the page link with your design partners and just not publish it publicly on your website (which is what we did ourselves for a bit with a couple partners)
@ozbad03 this looks super cool. Honestly, we have been looking for a good tool for announcements. This looks a great fit. Shared it with the team and you can count us in :). Good luck for the future.
@mjain_mayank Thanks so much Mayank! Yeah it can be tough to announce stuff with really high velocity in the early days. Glad to hear you feel like this fits the bill and excited to have you aboard :). Keep us posted if we can help at all!
@anil_meena21 Thanks Anil! Yeah we love Canny too, but definitely happy to be the free alternative when folks are looking to get something off the ground more inexpensively :). And as for why free forever -- this is really designed as a baby-step into our broader GTM platform, and since it's really more of an acquisition tool for us we prefer to give it away for free and make it super accessible. To be clear though, we plan to devote as much product support to this tool as if it were part of our core revenue-generating product (since it's a critical part of that experience as well).
