Hi again Product Hunt ๐Ÿ‘‹, super excited to bring Ignition out of beta and share v1.0 with all of you! We built Ignition to help Product leaders and Product Marketers to better collaborate and build more repeatable, effective go-to-market processes for new products and features. Launches are fragmented, chaotic, and cost companies millions when products flop. My cofounder and I have launched 100โ€™s of products at PlayStation, Rippling, Meta, and startups and have seen firsthand how deep market insights, a consistent planning motion, and tight coordination between product and GTM teams unlock effective go-to-market that helps products stand out and get adopted. But most teams really struggle to create that alignment because tool fragmentation creates information silos where plans are disconnected from context, and communication is more reactive than proactive. Product lives in one tool, Product Marketing doesnโ€™t have *any* tools, and itโ€™s incredibly hard for both of them to push info to Sales, Success, and Execs. We solve that at Ignition with a single platform that unifies Product and GTM work. ๐Ÿ” Research & Insights โ€” automatically collect and monitor competitive intelligence, conduct customer research, and build a knowledge base of reusable personas. ๐Ÿ’ก Product Management โ€” collect product ideas with voting boards, build visual roadmaps, and communicate releases with changelogs and seamless GTM handoffs. ๐Ÿš€ Go-to-Market โ€” instantly generate best-practice based GTM plans with Copilot AI, and create a single source of truth for plans, timelines, assets, and tasks. ๐Ÿ“ฃ Internal Comms Automation โ€” automate internal briefings and status updates with โ€œpulseโ€ updates that let you push modular updates to stakeholders via email and Slack. ๐Ÿง  Embedded AI โ€” use integrated GPT-3 workflows to generate copy across key launch assets, summarize insights, and create strategic GTM documentation. Would love to hear what you all think (and your launch horror stories)! P.S. Ignitionโ€™s got a generous free plan, but as a special Product Hunt bonus, upgrading to a paid plan this month gets you unlimited usage through March!

@ozbad03 Tried out ignition after Nathan Latka's podcast and the appsumo launch long ago, will check it out again :)

Great news! Congrats @ozbad03 @karthik_suresh2 - big honor to be part of this, seeing your progress all the way from 0 to 1. Keep it up!
Brittany Joiner {Britt the Builder}
Very cool tool, i think a bit a of a chicken and egg thing for me personally because i know this would help me actually launch things that are profitable, but i also don't currently have the profits toa afford something like it. Although i see that you have 2 months of unlimited usage, which is very generous. So I'll give it a try!
Jamasen Rodriguez
Hey @britt_joiner - We have a free plan for your exact use case! If you start to run into usage limits, we also offer 75% off for startups under 2 years old and raised less than $25M. Looking forward to hearing your feedback ๐Ÿš€
Derek Osgood
@britt_joiner Totally understandable! We actually have a totally free plan where you can do launch planning indefinitely, as long as you're under a certain usage threshold. So you should be able to get the first version out the door without paying :).

Pretty pretty pretty good
Satvik Jagannath
Amazing product! Great UI and workflows in the product. GTM Ops is a big thing and the way Ignition solves this is very appreciable. Wish you good luck and success.
Nikola Kozuljevic
Great stuff! Mighty helpful! Congrats on the launch! As a PMM Ignition solves many problems that I have when launching new products to the market. Definitely seems like a great stress reliver if anything. :) Looking forward to start using it! :)
Derek Osgood
@nikola_kozuljevic Super glad to hear you're so excited Nikola! Yeah PMM is kind of "death by 10,000 paper cuts" -- we're hoping we can get rid of 9,999 of those paper cuts for you haha. Please let us know any feedback once you get in and start poking around!
Porush Puri ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณ
Been using it since its days in beta, a super powerful tool for Product Managers and Founders. Would highly recommend it, Congratulations on the launch and kudos to the great team!
Karthik Suresh
@porush_puri Thanks Porush! Really appreciate your support! Please let us know if you've any feedback!
Scott Hanford
This problem resonates A LOT. And the platform is looking super robust. Well done! But I must ask...did you use Ignition for this launch? ๐Ÿ™ƒ
Derek Osgood
@scott_hanford You know it!! We've been planning for months in Ignition and we also dogfood all our own research tools (we use our SEO research tools for competitive SEO tracking), comms tools (we publish internal Slack updates and external release notes), and all the other stuff :).
Richard King
Awesome product, built by an awesome team! Congrats on the launch! I assume you did some dogfooding to keep your GTM on track
Derek Osgood
@richkingpma SOOOOO much dogfooding haha. We've actually been demoing out of our Ignition 1.0 launch plan on sales calls for the last 2 months :). Thank you so much for all of your and PMA's support!!! Couldn't be doing it without you guys and the awesome community you've built!
Chase DiMarco
As soon as we can move/rearrange Battle Cards, I'll be a happy man!
Jamasen Rodriguez
That's great feedback @chased - adding it to our product feature requests. What use cases do you see movable battlecards being useful for?
Derek Osgood
@chased Hoping this is live super soon! We're going product-area-by-product-area right now adding drag/drop and reordering, so it's on the list :).
Chase DiMarco
@jamasenr organizing quickly by alphabetical, amount of workers, amount of capital raised, or even simply by those that we are focusing on more (favorites) would be very helpful when you have a few dozen battle cards!
Jamasen Rodriguez
Ah this makes sense @chased - so instead of movable battlecards, it sounds like filtering and sorting is the functionality you're looking for.
Brendan Short
Let's go! Congrats on the launch y'all! Can't wait to use this for Groundswell in the future :)
Momo Ong
Congrats on the launch!!! @ozbad03
Derek Osgood
@momoong Thanks Momo! Really appreciate the support and love what you guys are doing over at HeadsUp!
Kshitij Mohan
Looks great, real-problem to solve. Congrats on the launch! ๐Ÿš€
Derek Osgood
@kshitij_mohan Thanks Kshitij! Yeah IDC estimates poor GTM coordination costs $100M for every $1B of revenue... It's critical for companies to get this right!
Ron Fybish
I love it ๐Ÿ™Œ
Derek Osgood
@ron_fybish1 Thank you Ron! Would love to hear what things are really resonating :)
chethanjs
Great work team! Looking forward to more updates.
Derek Osgood
@chotijs So many more in the pipeline! This year is going to be a year of crazy GPT-powered AI improvements :)
Jatin Sandilya
Love it. Congratulations on the launch! ๐Ÿš€
Derek Osgood
@jatinsandilya ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿš€๐Ÿš€
Nikita Abrosimov
@ozbad03 hey! Congrats on the PH launch with your excellent tool! It's a solid decision to use GPT for copy generation. Do you have some ideas for using diffusion models for ads creatives generation? It would be quite helpful for product marketing managers.
Derek Osgood
@nikita_abrosimov1 Hey and thank you! Absolutely in the plans -- over time we're going to be adding a variety of image and asset generation, including things like case studies and sales decks :).
Anil Matcha
Congrats on the launch
Derek Osgood
@matcha_anil Thanks Anil! ๐Ÿš€
Ankur Singh
Congrats on the launch, this is super useful!!
Derek Osgood
@singh_ankur Thanks Ankur! We certainly feel that way :)
Stedman Blake Hood
Congrats on the launch! Curious at what stage of company growth you see people get the most value out of a tool like this?
Jamasen Rodriguez
@stedmanblake We're seeing a good mix of company stages with heavy usage on the edges. Many small solo-product marketers and founders use Ignition to get go-to-market structure right from the beginning. While we also have many companies over 1K employees empowering their entire product marketing team with Ignition - planning over 100 launches a year! ๐Ÿคฏ
Derek Osgood
@stedmanblake Thanks Stedman! We kind of see a couple very distinct segments of audience, each with slightly different focus areas in the product. Our sweet spot is kind of companies that just went through their first growth inflection and are starting to scale, adding sales, launching more things, etc. (so, companies that recently crossed the ~50-100 employee mark). But, we have a ton of very small teams and solo marketers who use us as well for our research and release notes tools or for planning their initial company launch. We also have some very very large enterprise teams using us for the massive stakeholder alignment needs that come along with a large org.
