IndieLaunch offers free trend insights and recommendations for a successful Product Hunt launch. The first feature is ready for initial tests and will remain free, while certain data usage will have paid options.
As an indie maker, I struggled to find out what was happening on the Product Hunt platform and, of course, the indie makers community. I created Indielaunch as a personal tool to gain insights into what was happening on Product Hunt. It might also be useful to others, so here it is, Indielaunch!
hey, congrats on the launch! 🚀 It was interesting to peek at this data. Btw I didn't realise I could click any of the clusters to see the detail page until I saw the screenshot on this page, you may want to consider adding a CTA or some other affordance (e.g. hover state) to indicate there's more to see for each cluster.
Also I know this is the "last month analysis" but I was really keen to compare it to previous months, or look at the year trend, as I don't think the tide would shift that clearly in a month? The clusters I looked at had noisy graphs, quite a lot of variables on a daily basis including what day of the week it was.
Thank you for your detailed feedback, @jonnymiles. I will be releasing a new version that focuses on improving the usability and design of the product. Additionally, I think expanding the duration of the analysis is a great idea, and I will add it to my list of considerations.
Hey @maru_rivera1, I won't promise the result in three days, but I'm working on it and hope it will be ready. Currently, I'm working on the UX part of the product.
This is a good case demonstration of vercel's rapid development to generate a product, but it is not a mature product. The charts inside are ugly, and the user experience is not focused on, and the data layout displayed is not practical.
Thank you for your feedback, @an_zuo. The next version will primarily focus on improving the user experience and user interface, as well as securing a proper domain. I hope to achieve a more polished look by then. I promise it won't take long—just a couple of days.
@ihuzaifashoukat actually I started to test predictive models and found out they need to be treated carefully so currently I will be using clustering models that are more reliable and then if I could figure out a reliable prediction model I will let it out!
IndieLaunch seems super useful! As an indie hacker, I often struggle to make sense of Product Hunt trends, so having a tool that offers insights sounds great. I’m looking forward to trying it out and seeing how it can help my launches!
@william_jin, it's all about how I can manage the infrastructure costs! Currently, I believe that features requiring calls to an LLM or other large ML models may not be free but the general analysis features remain free.
