👋 hi hunters, you found us! We are so excited to share this full-circle moment with you. Our product’s journey begins with our own: Naomi and I met 8 years ago as instructors at a woman in tech summer camp back in college and as we were growing in our careers, people would ask us: “Hey, how do I get into tech?”. Truthfully, we were never satisfied with the answer we gave them. We would say some version of “Uh, take a course or major in college”. But the real tea is that college admissions are declining and you can work in tech without getting a college degree. Thankfully, there’s no content shortage when it comes to online learning. The internet is full of courses. So we partnered up with LinkedIn Learning, Skillshare, and Coursera to hand select the best courses for YOU (yes, you) to launch your career in tech. But instead of taking a skills approach, we know that people LOVE the brands they use. Think about how many times a day you open up Spotify or the number of Nike sneakers you have in your closet. Now imagine working for those companies. The good news is that it’s possible – we turn brands into universities by dissecting HUNDREDS of job descriptions to find skills + courses you would need to work within these roles. We’ve been so eager to share this and now when someone asks us “how do I get into tech?”, we can direct them to our marketplace. With a focus on diversity in the tech industry, we are excited to help turn consumers into creators and buyers into builders. Give our product some ❤️ and feedback in the comments here.
