👋 Hi Product Hunters, I'm back :D 🚀 A year ago A year ago I was playing around with Stable Diffusion and found it was quite good at redesigning interiors if you submitted a photo of your interior with it. I quickly spun up an MVP called Interior AI. ⚡️ What happened Interior AI quickly took off and now it has 1,000+ recurring customers @ $40,000 MRR including many of the leading interior design studios and real estate agencies and featured in The New York Times and TechCrunch. 🔥 Progress since then Since then I have been working hard to improve it. This is version 2.0. It's based on a fork of my other project Photo AI. The new version has a lot stuff to improve the quality of your interior designs like: ᯅ 3d depth perception, which lets it understand interior objects 🚧 3d construction segmentation, which lets it understand the walls/floor/ceiling of a room and try maintain that, because redesigning your interior doesn't mean also renovating your entire home and breaking through walls! AI is notoriously bad at this and most other apps you'll see change the entire building, because it's hard not to but Interior AI manages quite well now 🎥 3d video flythroughs, using AI video tech to change your interior designs into videos where the camera does a flythrough 🏡 AI Virtual Staging mode, a special mode for real estate agents who like to fill up empty rooms with furniture, which can be a big market for me I think 🎨 50+ interior design styles, like Contemporary to special styles for Halloween and Christmas 📦 30+ room types, from bedroom to living and kitchen combos to even outdoor spaces like patios, outdoor spaces isn't really my niche but Interior AI still works with it My future plans: 🧠 NeRF, an interesting tech that lets you map a 3d space with just a few photos. It'd be great to have this for interior designs 🪐 A real 3d editor where you can move around objects, not sure how to do this yet though I also have an affiliate program now which gives you 20% revshare: https://interiorai.getrewardful.... + You also get 20% off with promo code PHOTO20!

@levelsio Naming your competitors on the home page? That is some real confidence! 😄🚀
André J
Can it generate photos from blueprints? Also do you have any before and after images? Like dump to castle?
levelsio
@sentry_co Not blueprints yet no but I am working on that. For before and after, see the landing page or the gallery here for before and after. For example the Sketch -> Render, SketchUp -> Render and empty room -> Virtual Staged render pics.
André J
@levelsio Sketch is fine, but what about just blueprint of floor?
levelsio
@sentry_co nope, because it's essentially a style transfer now, the photo stays the same as the input but modified. Putting a blueprint in would simply get you a blueprint in a diff style. So that doesn't work. To make a blueprint work, I'll either 1) have to train my own model with an input of blueprint of a room, and an output of the room, 2) make code that uses eg OpenCV to actually understand blueprints of a room. But that seems a bit far off now for me.
André J
@levelsio I saw this before. Going from 2d blueprint to photo. I think it was called maket.ai Here is a video:
The use case would be housing market places like open-door etc. Essentially you could envision an apartment your where looking at. But in the style you would like. You could even do this at scale, since these platforms most often offer 2d blueprints of listings. Either as service for b2b or b2c. I think that would be immensely useful. Also this platforms take a huge fee for listings so they would buy something like that in a heartbeat. That would also open up APIs for open-door competitors, as photos has copyright, but renderings from 2d sources does not.
levelsio
@sentry_co check the video, the renders do NOT match the blue prints at all. It just seems like a random home generator feature.

Hey there, @levelsio! Just wanted to give you a virtual high-five for creating such a game-changer for interior design. Who needs a decorator when AI can do it in seconds? Genius move, my friend.

Whill I enjoy other products by Pieter, I'm disappointed with InteriorAI to say the least. When I signed up and paid up, it turned out the FAQ page is broken and doesn't lead to anywhere. Due to that there were no instructions on how the uploaded pictures should look. Despite trying different approaches, in every possible scenario I got horrible results: disproportional images (generated rooms are not the same size, usually way smaller), windows appearing from nowhere (or existing ones getting removed!), non-straight (with some corners) rooms get the walls lost and other issues. Tried contacting via tweeting and also through canny.io, got nothing. $40 wasted into thin air.
levelsio
@roman_zabaluev Hi Roman, sorry to hear you had a bad experience. I'll refund you now! When did you try it?
Roman Zabaluev
@levelsio hi Pieter, I just wish this would've been less frustrating, like actually being able to get attention at the obviously broken stuff (like FAQ page missing). I'm still halfway through my subscription plan and hoping to see FAQ page fixed so I get to know how to take a good picture to get the best results. Cheers
levelsio
@roman_zabaluev Refunded now! Sure, will improve this. The new Virtual Staging mode is live now, can you try it?
Alex Gurevich
Would be awesome to try it out but when I tried it wanted me to subscribe right away. I get that it costs money but at least one room should be free to try things out. I don't need "1000s renders" a month, I just have a house with 3 rooms :) Congrats on the launch
levelsio
@skynet yesss, agree, lots of abuse with free version before so I nuked that. Might bring it back if I can figure out how to avoid abuse! Problem is abuse with AI apps is quite expensive.
Alex Gurevich
@levelsio maybe you can do something where it's based on a phone number since it's harder to get a fake phone number than just make a bunch of accounts. You can also add the time it takes to generate on free accounts. For example, make a free account wait 20 minutes to see an image or an hour etc. I just want to see how my living room could look so I don't mind coming back in an hour or even the next day to see it.
Garen Orchyan
Looks quite promising. Going to give this try. Best of luck today ❤️🦄
Gaspar Habif
Nice revamp! All those new features sound awesome. Did you ever thought of doing a "free try out" with 1~3 credits after email sign up? Best wishes on the launch 🚀
levelsio
@gaspihabif Yes I had free a year ago but it was abused so much that my GPU bill quickly ran up. I will figure out if I can make another free version of it while avoiding the abuse. Maybe Google login?
Gaspar Habif
@levelsio Yes! I think Google login would avoid abuse. In my case, I would definitely login with Google to give it a try. Even better, if I then upgrade my account I would always have the benefits and simplicity of SSO

Launching soon!
I could attest to following the journey from day one all on X. The founder is a really passionate and active shipper of great products. Interior AI had me regretting not postponing my house renovation for another year post-pandemic.
George Tsiramua
Good luck with the launch

Thank you for sharing about Interior AI! It sounds like a fantastic tool for interior design enthusiasts. I appreciate the emphasis on maintaining current construction and focusing solely on interior changes. The 3D depth perception feature seems like a game-changer for ensuring accurate redesigns. Looking forward to exploring it further!
Oleg Tagobitsky
Great idea! Looking forward to seeing how it works in practice in terms of the realism of images and image artifacts that sometimes happen for images generated by stable diffusion approaches.
joey
Congrats on your launch! Excited to see where this goes 🚀
Egor Karpov
Interior AI's 3D depth perception feature sounds groundbreaking! 🏠 Kudos to @levelsio!

Congrats on the launch! Much better landing page
Sergey Karakhanyan
Used first version before. It’s amazing 🤩
Mike Irvine
Nicely done and huge improvement. Good job. Is it still on Stable Diffusion or moved over to GPT as if InteriorGPT?
Aditya Agrawal
I have been the user of this tool since early days and love how far the quality has come.
