The Intersect Labs Covid-19 visualizer enables you to see how the pandemic is spreading. You can compare the prevalence across states, or across counties within a state, and normalize it by population.
Thanks for hunting this, @gustaf
Hi PH community! 👋
We built this because we were frustrated that it was nearly impossible to easily visualize how COVID-19 has been spreading across the US, how measures taken by different states and counties are affecting outcomes, and especially what the per capita spread looks like.
Thanks to the data that New York Times has been updating daily, population data from the US Census Bureau, and data prep tools that we have at our disposal at Intersect Labs, we can now present all this information in an easy to consume manner. We hope that having this handy will help people prepare better, and potentially even drive policy.
If you are working on stuff around COVID19 and would like to be able to access this data on demand via API, please reach out. Similarly, if you have data and need to create pipelines to re-engineer it, we are happy to help as well.
We will be keeping this updated, as New York times updates the data. We are also planning to add county-level data for ICU bed availability, and map views. If there's anything else that you would like to see, please let us know.
In the meantime, stay safe everyone! Together, we will emerge from this better than before.
My best,
Ankit.
