I am a technical product manager with over 5 years of experience in the field. I have been fortunate to ship multiple products in diverse industries such as sports, education, and entertainment. Having a background as a founder myself and later working in product management made me realize that the number one reason, or at least a major reason, why startups fail is because founders lack product leadership skills. Due to this knowledge gap, of which I was also a victim, there are products in the market that only our moms, cousins, and siblings use (because we asked them to). Poor product leadership is at the core of issues for 90% of startups that fail within the first 3-5 years.
