Mirror Magnet — Live camera image that stays on top of everything else

Mirror Magnet puts a live camera image on your Mac’s desktop and stays on top of everything else. If you’re sharing your screen on a regular basis and want to make your presentations or recordings more personal — this is for you.

Hey everyone — elevate your screen recording game with Mirror Magnet! 🎥 The app lives in your status bar and is smart: The video fades out and blurs when you hover it with your mouse cursor, so it never gets in your way. The video’s appearance is fully customizable (shape, aspect ratio, size, border) and the app offers fine-grained adjustments to improve the overall image quality. It’s a tremendous time safer for tutorial creators who record their screen and want to display a live portrait of themselves at the same time—no more separate video recording and syncing in post-production! But whether you record your screen, create tutorials, stream gameplay or share your screen on video calls (Don’t we all these days?)—Mirror Magnet will instantly make your presentations more personal: With your friendly face! :) Let me know what you think! 🥳

Nicely designed as usual. Question: why would I want my video to be blurred when I mouse over it and is it possible to turn this particular feature off?
Alex Tăbușcă
@denisrasulev You'd wand your video to be blurred + transparent in case you have some text/underlying information you are trying to show; yep, it is possible tu turn it off in the settings of the application. Just got it and I can say it's quite nice.

Nice! Thanks to native APIs much more refined than pipfy.pxi.design - which may still be useful if you need the feature outside of a Mac, just run it in the browser.
