@ourielohayon Great question, there are a couple of main differences.
Jaco is much easier to install and is able to capture much more refined user experience, allowing you to see not only the "big" things like mouse movements, but also dynamic content, load times, spinners etc, all with a single line of JS and without any deep integrations into the code.
On top of that, we allow you to detect and find common user behavior issues.
@ourielohayon I didn't say that we're the only one to give you that, but that's the main differentiator between us and clicktale for ex,
We're aiming to launch support for mobile apps in the following weeks.
Hey hunters, my name is Danni and i'm the CEO and co-founder of Jaco,
This is our first time on Product-Hunt, and we're all extremely excited!!
Jaco records every user interaction, event and mouse movement, allowing you to see an high-quality movie of your users, and get real-life feedback on how your users actually use your application.
We've created Jaco out of frustration with existing user-testing/support/analytics tools, combined with our deep love for the web.
We've worked hard this past few months making Jaco the easiest & most accurate session recording tool out there,
But our main goal is not only give you an easy way to see your users, but also mark the interesting things you need to watch.

I like the free plan, but the price jump from it is insane! I rather use something like Hotjar. I woulda given this a try if you had a plan around $50 or so. Just my opinion...
@dilyaraskar i appreciate the input, and that's exactly why we created the free tier, keep in mind that our aim is to provide you with a much higher level of accuracy than HotJar, but if that works for you, than great!
@dannifriedland I appreciate that, but remember that there are many entrepreneurs with online platforms like myself, who would really appreciate your software, but unfortunately cannot budget for it, so they gota settle for less, like Hotjar. It would open your market more and be very appreciated if you lowered the first priced tier a little lower. I'm in Canada and our economy sucks right now, if your price for the first tier was like AT LEAST $90 a month, I would give it a shot. You gota think of the small guys :( . Anyways, the 20% is still nice, im sure there were many who appreciated it!
@dannifriedland Nice looking product. Can really help pre-product/market fit companies.
Couple questions:
1. Do you guys support Single Page apps? Ember, Angular etc.
2. Whats X weeks retention mean in the pricing tiers?
Frankly if this works great, it could be a better way to get user insights than videos from usertesting.com.
@shekyboy
1. We sure do, the more Single they're, the better it works :)
2. The X weeks retention means that we'll store your sessions for X weeks/months until we delete them.
Awesome product...a little creepy though lol. The bummer about the free tier is that now the users are going to know they are being recorded because of the logo.
@rickats There are a lot of differences, the most noticeable one is the recording quality, if you're running a complex application, you will get far better results using Jaco.
We also detect common patterns and issues, sending you interesting sessions you should watch, and allowing you to find exactly what you need, when you need it.
I think that if you give us a try, you'll easily notice the difference!
Congrats on the launch! This looks fantastic, I'm eager to get the team to use this.
I have a question about reporting, will we be able to download the report before the retention time expires?
@johntheoak@svenvd_zee We support two modes, by default we simply do not record any user input, you can enable user input recording, when enabled, we'll still not record passwords/credit cards.
On top of that, you can censor parts of your application that are sensitive.
As an early Beta user I have to say that this product and the team behind it are both awesome, the amount of innovation it brings to the table is with not doubt huge. Take it for a test drive.
@Dannifriedland Really useful tool, we've already have some valuable insights into user behaviour and were able to validate some of our hypotheses! One question - did you guys also work on ensuring the snippet doesn't slow down site speed? what was the result?
@grinbee We sure did, for the majority of cases it should have almost no impact, if your site is especially heavy we can run a detailed performance check for you.
This is a game changer! After experimenting with the Beta for quite some time, I managed to get tangible insights to how users engage with my site and consume content and managed to translate it to better conversions. A killer product with many delightful touches.
@jimmymackin Although we ultimately share the same goal, our aim is to provide you with insights into what you should fix VS analysis, we're doing that by a combination of features:
You can see the session timeline on the sessions page
Each session gets a customizable session score, the higher it is, the more relevant it is(and packed with information)
The next features we're planning to launch will focus on even deeper insights into your application & users.
